    rebranding

I have been trying to rebrand my phone so I can extract files from it. But I haven't been able to rebrand it. I have an ATT w760, I put the customize_upgrade.xml that was posted by mbkatt into tpa/preset/custom,
unpluged the phone, turned it on, turned it off, took the battery out, started up seus, followed the onscreen instructions. But in the end it says update not available, you phone is up to date.

when I identify the phone with a2uploader it says:
    CDA Article: 1212-6828
    CDA version: R10A

If I stick the generic America CDA:1201-0095 code back into the phone
It says I have the latest software and asks if I want to continue anyway.

Does the SEUS still have att firmware available to download??

I've confirmed with mbkatt after trying it myself, and the original costomize_upgrade.xml does not work anymore. att firmware is still available, but SEUS is checking for more then the paramters specified in the original customize_upgrade.xml file. I was suggested to try the following customize_upgrade.xml (which has all of the entries from the original att w760a), but did not get a chance to do it. If you'd like to try it and report the results, that'd be great!
    new customize_upgrade.xml:
    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

The best way to debrand if seus way doesnt work is to use A2 Uploader i always debrand my phones with A2 uploader Never fails, all you need is the generic main, fs file and a custpack these files are easy to find look here topse.ru here you will find nearly all firmwares if not let me know ill provide another link

For all you w760 debranders with AT&T

I'm getting another w760a from AT&T because the one i have now is malfunctioning...they're sending me a warrenty replacement. I'm obviously debranding right when i get it, but i'm just wondering if i need to unlock first before debranding... i did last time but there's really no advantage for me to unlock it since I'm not going out of the country or giving it to a t-mo friend. So, has anybody debranded FIRST without unlocking. Thanks!

If you have the FW/FS for the AT&T stuff, I could really use that... I gotta rebrand this thing to send back to the warehouse!

hello all, i finally received my cable from SE. I tried to debrand the phone but it only reflashed the original ATT firmware. Everything in tutorial/pack worked perfectly it just did not debrand the phone. Can someone post an up to date tutorial / work around for the added security ?

    PLEASE HELP!!!

i copied the customize_upgrade file to the directory. Shut the FS down. disconnected the cable and turned it on. I saw a status bar like it was updating but it went away when insert sim came up (the status bar was only a quarter of the way when it came up) but I assumed it was gone so i shut the phone off and tried to do the SEUS but it gets to 16% and fails 5 times now!!! i tried to open a2uploader again to start over but it's not bringing up the phones directories.. Please someone tell me what to do..
when i turn the phone on it's just a black screen it won't do anything..

my friend (works for att) she said to say it got stolen, then you found it and its all jacked up & wasnt how you had it... and to just claim the insurance...

thats merely a suggestion tho. i personally would just say i lost it, that is, if i couldnt get it rebranded.

i had mine branded for about 2 months before debranding, cause i wanted to make sure i wouldnt get into any trouble for it. Then after realizing i dont care about all that, i debranded and love my phone ALOT more.

But i am glad you got your issue resolved and everything went in your favor!
