    It isn't always there.
But the advice was NOT to go to the contact us or support page for the chat. It was clearly to follow the link in post #9 which takes you to the Business Migration page.

I've never seen the chat button to not appear on that page. Perhaps if you go after the hours specified on that page, the chat button is not there.

???? I had grandfathered $5.99 T-Zones and a $20 BB plan and they are still there after I added freelancers...

My billing cycle usually ends on the 27th (tomorrow.)

Today, I noticed that my billing cycle ends on the 6th of February and all of my minutes and text messages buckets had been reset to zero.

I know that since I added the Freelancers Discount that my billing cycle would change to the 6th to match all others with the discount.

But I guess I get the added bonus of not receiving a bill for an additional 1 1/2 weeks AND empty buckets that I can use during that time period. That's a better deal than I expected.

    Hello All -

I'm a I.T. consultant and recently joined the Freelancers Union.
I also recently signed up for T-Mobile. I needed a basic cell phone so I got the Samsung t819 w/ the myfaves for about $40 a month.

I then went to the link posted earlier in this thread and was able to get the 10% off my monthly bill as well as having the activation fee waived.

Thanks for the thread (and my wallet thanks you as well).

Have to say it worked like a charm. 10 minutes on the chat and it was done.

So to be 100% clear. If I do this I will get to keep my Grandfathered voice plan, my Total Internet as well as my previously added Free MyFaves and all that happens will be a move for me from the 2nd to the 6th on my billing cycle.

Yes according to the rep. I chat with yesterday. He said that he only applied the discount on the account and would not touch anything else. As of now, all my plan and features (free myFaves, $5.99 T-zones, and $9.99 unlimited messaging plan) still remain.

Just added this discount. Had the chat rep list all my features on the chat and I have saved it in case there is an issue. Got to keep all aspects of my account, including free MyFaves! That should bring my monthly bill down to about $59 a month after taxes! Awesome.

    Student Advantage 12% discount

Student Advantage members can now get a 12% ongoing discount. You do have to pay for a membership ($22.50 with option to get $10 cash back if you spend money at a national partner within the first 30 days, or you can get a full refund if you cancel during the first 30 days). You can go through online chat (just like the Freelancers Union) to have the discount added to your TMO account once you have a member ID (which you'll get instantly). See the discount at the top of the list here: http://www.studentadvantage.com/disc.../category?id=3. There are various other nice discounts, like 15% off Amtrak.

Shameless plug: if you join through my referral page, I'll get an incentive. Go to http://cli.gs/SA to do that or just join on your own. Of course, that's NOT why I'm posting this discount; but I'm always happy to use others' referrals if I'm going to join something anyway. I figure many of you think the same way. I was already an SA member who signed up for the Freelancers' discount thanks to this thread; but when I got the email from SA announcing the higher discount, I jumped at the opportunity.

Doesn't seem valid anymore. According to the Freelancers Union website: "Offer applies to new activations only." Just tried it and got shot down by the online chat rep. She said that the terms of their agreement changed this week.

    That's no good!

I wonder if people who got the offer applied will still have it...
I don't subscribe to threads. If you've got something to say to me, PM.

My billing cycle is ending on the 6th, so we'll see when I get my bill I guess, if it gets taken off Ill go the Student advantage route.

My billing cycle was changed to the 6th as well after I signed up. I'm sure everyone who signed up already will be grandfathered in.

Hopefully that's the case. I signed up on the 7th of Jan, but my billing cycle already ended on the 6th before I signed up for this. Fingers crossed!
