Has anyone considered that the leak was done by rogers. To build some buzz going into the new year? A lot of the time when something get's "leaked' it is actually done by the companies.
I hope security gets involved and has a list of who was there.
They can start with a valid IMEI range for E71s and search out each employee's (in attendance) account one-by-one, until they get a list of who has E71s.
Then they narrow the list down to males, in the 20-30y/old range, who haven't been with the company for that long.
Or even better, maybe people remember who was sitting where, and they can figure out from the angle some of the pictures were taken, who the likely suspect would be.
wow... talk about a Rogers fanboy... next he'll be telling me its wrong to use all of my 6 Gig of data!

I thought about that too...especially how other forums and websites have picked it up. Plus, the OP doesn't appear to have any other posts aside from this topic. It just seems there is an overwhelming amount of information that goes beyond what a traditional leak would entail.
I find it kind of funny that people are suggesting that this guy should get fired for revealing marketing plans that can possibly disrupt Rogers competitive advantage...don't forget...it's Canada. We have next to no competition between the carriers: Rogers/Fido, Bell and Telus are the de facto players here. All others don't really count. The fact of the matter is if RIM, Moto or whatever other handset manufacturer wants to release a product with any given carrier they can. This is no different than game exclusivity on videogame consoles. Telus/Bell could have gotten a wi-fi enabled Storm...had they waited a bit longer. But they didn't. No different had it been Rogers wanting to jump the gun either.

WOW....you could use a hug
Did the OP break the rules?...YES
Will he lose his job if he gets caught...YES
And he may get caught, how many people go to these things?
I want to thank the OP for the info..hopefully he doesn't get caught. And hopefully he's learned a thing or two about leaking confidential info.
LOL some of you guys take this way too seriously...LOLLLLLLLLLLL I wish I could laugh in your faces in real life...step away from the computer for a second.
i agree, this is a great post and what i come here hoping to find.. and how is Rogers hurt by this? this is great publicity to people who probably give other people cell phone advice.. my guess is this was approved by rogers marketing
was kinda hoping for G2 though so a little disappointed..

Ya i was looking towards a G2 or even a G1 I'd be satisfied with. I guess its because of the plans in canada. I just can't wait till one day they use the word "unlimited" with the word "data" :P
Back on topic, there are a few phones that peak my interest. The fact that they will have been out so long already when they come out on Rogers diminishes my excitement a bit.
I was excited for the Xperia to be on Rogers.. but Q3? September? Really? I'm not waiting.
As soon as SE fixes whatever their recall issues, I'm back at the shops for it.
OP, did you happen to get better shots of the Xperia slides? I'm curious, but not concerned about prices.

Haha you have got to be kidding me. Yes, first off, let's hope security assumes it's an E71. God knows it can't be another phone, so let's narrow down those employees! And Hell, it HAS to be a male in the 20/30 year old range who hasn't been here long. Sure can't be Jim or Susan - They've been here 10 years! And Jim's nearly 50! Must be the only young guy sitting at the exact angle where the photo was taken. If only they could catch that crook!
