I hope security gets involved and has a list of who was there.
They can start with a valid IMEI range for E71s and search out each employee's (in attendance) account one-by-one, until they get a list of who has E71s.
Then they narrow the list down to males, in the 20-30y/old range, who haven't been with the company for that long.
Or even better, maybe people remember who was sitting where, and they can figure out from the angle some of the pictures were taken, who the likely suspect would be.
Look at Nancy Drew over there with the pin-point method of solving this caper
You have been watching too much CSI lately, sleuth.
What if this was something you're trying to sell and one of your employees or dealers spills your beans online before you're ready to spill the beans? Do you say to your employee that it's okay because s/he spilled the beans because people will buy your product anyways, or do you say "you're fired" because s/he just blew your chance on becoming #1 in the marketplace and allowed your competitors to see what you're up to and now have a chance to up-1 you?
Rogers is already number one in the market place. What they risk is an increased competition--which is greatly needed. If Bellus finds out about this and competition increases...then i'm happy. I hope there's a leak for price plans, value packs, and essentials months in advance as well. I also hope that the competition gets a hold of these leaks. With all the "adjustments" the consumer would finally be able to participate in a fair market. Of course I would fire the guy if he ruined my business. But Rogers is operating a monopolistic business and gouging customers for money just because they can
Wow this is nuts. I was looking to pick up a tube or a n85 but I am not too sure now. Resale values usually take a hit if the phone gets picked up by a carrier.
Thanks for the leak OP. I can't wait until the Touch Pro is released, but man, Q2 2009 is kind of far away. By then, I'm afraid HTC will release something a lot more attractive. I guess if the price is right for the Touch Pro then I may get one.

I happen to use aprogram called Exif Pilot, and I take them there immediatley to process. I have to cover my tracks somehow, dont I? This has to seem like a fake (Although its real of course), which is why I choose a Nokia E71 from just a few hours ago.
In reality, these pictures were taken with a 2.0MP Camera without flash.
Cheers buds and Merry Christmas

I was thinking this VERY thing when somebody posted about fake PPT slides - didn't even know that PPT cannot fake slides on a projector, lol. However when mechanic75 posted his exif data, I knew that if somebody is BOLD enough to post ALL of these that their not stupid enough to get caught so easily. Is IMEI originally set into the EXIF from the E71? If so glad that THAT was edited out.
PS any more info on the N85/79/5800 & the Motorola VE66 - those pics where very blurry. Thanks for the BOLD move. I know can look to late next year for an upgrade when $$ gets better.
Personally, I hope the douche is fired. As much as I disliked old Teddy while he was around, Teddy gave the goof a job and paid him to keep his mouth shut. The guy is potentially damaging Rogers' marketing plans by releasing future strategies/information.
Hope the person gets identified and fired real soon. Doesn't deserve his job.
Wow. LOTS of assumptions on this thread.
1. who's to say this can "potentially" damage Rogers' marketing plans.
Lets think on this with common sense. Although Telus & Bell the biggest threats in any high revenue markets are building a GSM network - its not going live by mid 2009 by any information that even analysts that are privy to. That said they still have to negotiate contracts with manufacturers that they have NO relationship with (Nokia) or already have locked up on devices with Rogers & finally in this matter have less business' on contract with - RIM = Rogers has the lions' share of business' with contracts! Now a little further, what can Telus/Bell offer that comes remotely close to what this lineup has in 2009 from LG/Sharp/Motorola/Samsung that is capable of working with their network and getting FCC/CRTC approval in short-time. With under 27million subscribers total across Canada and less than 7 on Telus+Bell; even the mighty Samsung is NOT going to refine an existing high end handset, go through FCC+CRTC approval process & expenses JUST for the Canadian market & fight against the same model & features already agreed upon by Rogers with more than double the potential subscriber base. Verizon & Sprint/AllTell will need to come on board. I only see the Storm (already there) and the Samsung 8MP joby being on both types of networks (as AT&T is also getting it).

This is a better line of thinking - but still assuming (unless I missed something). Who says the op is male? Most of us here made the same assumption in a Bold thread over pricing when a woman shocked us all by eating her shoe - a cake actually. Now, lets say it comes right down to this line of thinking. How are they going to prove - without reasonable doubt that this online ID matches the said individual Rogers brass came to the conclusion of? Because if their wrong - not only with the Employment Bureau be involved but possibly small claims as well - not really worth it. Rogers has strong & great lawyers but I don't think Rogers needs such frivolous bad press. We'll definately see though. We'll see.
I know for a fact that the makers and carriers all monitor Hofo. They have "security" people who try to find out the offenders are, they also cruise Craigslist, ebay Kajiji for prototypes for sales. IF they can't find out twho the OP is theres nothing they can do
First off, thanks to the op for bringing this out. Secondly, I think this is a weak year for rogers. not that any year is great, but all of these phones have been out for a while now and by the time they are released they will be dinosaurs. i like that a bunch of nice non blackberry smartphones are coming out, but i would have liked to see the n97 or anything NOT out yet.
