If this is all legit then I'm pretty stoked. I'm with Bell and was waiting to see if Rogers would pick up some of these phones and its great to know they are. I'm looking at the Storm+WiFi, Nokia 5800, Nokia n79, n85 ! I don't want to wait till Q2-3 but my contract with bell ends then so i can just say so long bell then !
thx for posting. Now I know who I'll switch to next year.
I was excited for the Xperia to be on Rogers.. but Q3? September? Really? I'm not waiting.
As soon as SE fixes whatever their recall issues, I'm back at the shops for it.
OP, did you happen to get better shots of the Xperia slides? I'm curious, but not concerned about prices.
Exactly. I'm not waiting another 6-8months for the release. By then something else better will be out. Can u say a 3yr jail term. What if I waited 6-8months and Rogers decided not to release the X1. What if the X2 comes out by then?
so many nice phones coming up for Rogers, hope I will be able to get an upgrade when my contract reaches 1 yr in May. Hopefully they will have the Storm or 5800 or N96 by then, if not I will even settle for a Samsung M8800
this is just a roadmap guys to plan possible purchases/renewals down the road.
If these are their *current* plans, they just got a lot of feedback on it for FREEEEEE
Maybe that was their plan all along. Maybe they're using Hofo as sampling data
god help them all.
On contract terms and responsibilities and getting the right information:
When youre talking about signing a contract for 3 years that will in the end may potentially cost you 20x X number of months you really should do everything to protect yourself.
I saw in the lineup the lack of blackberry given you don't want to fumble around with the storm, I guess could be rimms launch at the end of nov 08 of 3 new phones, and maybe R&D into perfecting blackberry, I piece of advice to RIMM work on the browser, there is no reason it cannot be as good or better than the safari browser. I guess Q4 around xmas 2009 we should see a launch of 2 new rimm keyboard phones with some touchscreen access, maybe optional, who knows.
