Just a quick update for anyone that may be experiencing slow-loading Telus Music player. I loaded my 8gb MicroSd card with over a 1000 songs. Telus Music Player used to take up to 2 minutes to start. And this is not just the first time when it is searching for new songs, but all the time.
I used two steps to fix this:
1. Went to the Music & Media menu, and into My Music List directory. Found two Mp3 files which displayed weird characters (almost like ID tag was corrupted) and deleted them.
2. Divided the songs into 5 sub-directories in the /MY_MUSIC/ folder. Therefore, I had approximately 200 files per folder.

To those of you having trouble getting the MSL, I couldn't get it with UniCDMA v 1.095, either. Try UniCDMA v 0.98, it's what worked for me.
It can also be tricky, I've never had it read right away. First, make sure it's set to the correct COM port. It should automatically be on Monitor mode, but if it isn't, press the monitor button to turn it on. Then click on the drop down menu for Mode, and start scrolling up and down with your arrow keys. For me, after a few minutes, the box that said [Unknown] suddenly went blank. I then set the mode to Qualcomm and pressed Read All, and my SPC magically appeared.
Wondering if anyone can help me with an application (upvise) that says it cannot access the server unless I authorize data network access. I have updated telus_policy and other applications, like Opera, work fine. I have also checked the permissions of the application (in index/5.txt) and they are the same as for the Telus Music Player (index/1.txt). I've tried deleting and installing again without any luck.
can someone please help out with this problem, i am getting it as well... thanks
I was also stuck here, and was about to give up, but then I realized the QPST Configuration program was still running, so I then closed it, and the BitPim immediately detected the phone. I hope that's the same case for others too.
Before I post my question, I would like to thank SliceOfVice for the tutorial. I was about to give up, but everything you posted up was accurate. It just took some fooling around. Thanks again.
Now that I have put on some mp3 ringtones (complements of http://www.iwfr.net/mp3toringtone/), I wanted to replace the original Telus ringtone I downloaded (in this case 4.txt, 4.dd & 4.gc) with a better version of the song. So, I renamed my own version of the song to 4.gc, and then imported into the content folder. It worked fine, but my question is, when I'm looking at the ringtone list on my phone, that particular ringtone is the only one where the little key icon does not have that little plus sign incased in a red circle icon. I can't remember if it was always like that, or if it changed when I altered the file. It's a pretty minor thing, but I just wanted to know what those icons meant. Can someone please tell me.
