    Like most other's I'm stuck . . . . .

    Heyo SliceOfVice,

Been attempting to follow your guide, so as to have personal ringtones, and I've run into a few problems. Rather than wade through 21 pages of posts too see if youve chanced to answer my question already thought I'd ask straight up. I cannot get the UniCDMA to recognize my phone (Samsung Slyde). In the device manager it recognizes it as a modem, and at first it registered as COM17 or higher, and UniCDMA only has COM1-4. I figured out how to manually assign the COM and changed it but it still does nothing on 1&2 (the only unused ones). There are times that it does not read as an error but says there is no phone connected. Any thoughts?

@ Lanhoj: Thanks for the link looks like it would help, but CDMA Software is ove $100 and for some reason when ever I try to extract a cracked version from a .rar, my Norton goes nuts and won't let me. Thinks it's a Trojan for some reason. As well teh demo software doesn't have the full functionality to follow the walkthrough.

EDIT: Got the program dowloaded and working but it says that my phone does not answer.

@ fisher_kid: Yeah, most of the time it will say it's a virus but it isn't, I don't know why it does that.

Did you you follow the steps on the link I provided? There are 2 Ports associated with your phone if all the drivers were correctly installed. 1 Port with return the answer you got, the other will connect properly.

Any other problems post on that thread.

@ Lanhoj: I just registered to come on here to say a big thank you to you for your guide that you posted. The instructions and screens were very easy to follow and worked like a charm the first time around. You and Sliceofvice are awesome at this stuff so thanks again to the both of you. It is greatly appreciated!

    Unicdma

First I would like to say, thanks for the instructions. Great job. I just have one question. I was finally able to get unicdma to recognize my phone but under the main tab, it shows the ESN numbers and the SCM numbers but in the Security section, instead of the numbers being there it says unknown in brackets. Any ideas on why it is not showing up.
oh yeah, Telus is my provider and it is a pay as you go phone.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

After further investigation I was able to unlock it using CDMA Workshop.
I could then use Bitpim to access the files.
So I really don't need the code now.
    Thanks.

I know on Bell Mobility Web browser you just go to operamini.com & it installs it, however on Telus Mobility when I go to operamini.com it says Access Denied. I don't have a Data Cable & I went through this thread & can't get it to work. Any suggestion. I just want to able to install operamini, As everyone knows the built in browser sucks, also it only lets me go to some you tube videos, but most don't work, however on Bell they work like a charm. Any suggestion about that.

    Thanks

Thanks a lot for this, I got into the phone no problem Now I am looking into adding java stuff, like games etc. If anyone knows that would be cool if you could help me out. Thanks again for this tut

Well, i found where the games are stored but so far no luck getting one to play. I have the jar file, i used it to create a jad file, placed both of them into a new folder in the games section but nope, even tried to overwrite some existing ones but no go there either. Just thought i would put that out there. I am not really good at this so sorry if I sound dumb lol.
