That is the price for bringing a phone to their network that they don't offer. I am not sure that you will be able to flash it yourself.

You have a few options, you can have your phone "flashed" by retail (like the dealer), you can do it yourself, or you can have someone else do it.

There's two types of "flashes" available for your phone, PRL loading and a complete custom Cricket BIN/SCR. The PRL method will load the correct information for your phone to access CRICKET Network, this will allow your SPRINT LG RUMOR to call and text on that network. The custom CRICKET BIN/SCR was developed by a third party to load CRICKET start up logos, WAP settings for web access, MMS settings for picture messaging, and of course calls and text messaging (SMS)

Choose which flash you want and by who. Call cricket once the phone is ready and if you have an account already ask them for an Equipment Change (ESN Change).

so im flashing the rumor to cricket. i didnt get to flash the eri file. (my copy of lg download didnt have the eri spot, had to go find the right version of lg download) i got the talk and text part, but no mms or wap. if i start the whole process over, will it get me to wap and mms on the rumor?? I have all the correct stuff, just need to know if its worth re-flashing the phone. if its not possible, I'll just stay with the flash as it is now. so whats the eri file for anyways??

i just had a lg scoop flashed to cricket and i have been told there is no hope for mms and wap settings...but if i was lied to please correct me and let me know the solution.

KyCpl, you don't need to reflash the phone, make sure you are editing the data connections, PPP authentication and the other one.

jmoneyballin, you were lied to and the solution is simple, edit the data connection settings as I just mentioned for KyCpl, unless they did not use the custom bin and scr, you will need to get that done for best results.

wow...i got the phone off a friend for super cheap and he told me to take it to cricket to get it flashed and i had it done at a cricket store where they told me no web no mms

Thanks, re flashed it and got it all set up. (its the wifes phone, so it was laying around anyway.) The two year old even un hooked it half way thru!! I just plugged it back up in midstream and it worked. (lucky me)
