    V3C Volume problem Alltel

HI, I am new to the forum but have read hundreds of messages related to earpiece volume problems on the Razr V3C. I understand there is no way to increase the gain on CDMA phones. Does anyone have any ideas why I suddenly have no earpiece volume On the loudest setting you can barely hear a whisper. I first tried to replace the speaker but that did not help then replaced the entire LCD which includes the speaker and that did not help. Other than I cannot hear people talking when they call through the earpiece the phone works fne. I do know I can use bluetooth or an external earpiece but that is not always convenient. Any suggestions on what to look at next or is it just not fixable? Thanks in advance for your help.

You've resoldered a new earpiece already? Yes, the LCD and earpiece are "connected", but they should replaced independently.

This may sound kind of disgusting, but you'd be surprised how many people have "ear funk" that is causing a problem, such as you've described. Seriously, look into the earpiece, and make sure the "holes" the sound come through are clean.

Yes I did resolder the earpiece onto the old screen and the volume did not improve. Yesterday I replaced the LCD with a brand new one which includes a new earpiece and their is no improvement. My first though was that the area was plugged up but I have checked that and cleaned the earpiece area.

In that case, it's an issue with the main board. You've replaced the whole upper portion, which would leave only an issue with the board.
