    Question downloading photos from LG phone to Mac

    Please help! I'm new to all this and have taken a bunch of photos with my LG, which has a micro SD chip...I copied them onto "external memory" and removed the chip, put it in the miniSD adapter, which fits into the USB port on my iMac - but when the chip comes up on my screen, it's empty. Is this a file format compatibility issue between LG and Apple? Or am I copying them to external memory in the wrong way somehow? thanks!
