i used setools2 to flash my phone...

my phone used to not even turn on. Now that i have been using setools2 it turns on and everything. i can use the Walkman music player...


when i select the phone then i get a message saying:

Configuration error. Please contact your service provider or service center.


can someone please help me?

You need to "finalize" the phone. I am not familiar with SEtools, but Davinci and xs++ have a button that says "finalize"

in setool only put the correct flash and finish the process, thats because gdfs not finish yet

switch off phone - connect it to xs++ 3.1 on your computer. On xs++ under the FLASH section under CUSTOMIZE FILE SYSTEM - check this box only and choose the CUSTOM file you want to use underneath then click FLASH. When xs++ has done disconnect your phone and then switch it on . Everything should now work.

i have never used xs++ before. is there a tutorial for it? setool was easy to use.

Yes you want both of them. Main is the firmware, FS is the file system. You may want/need a customization file too. There is an older huge thread about debranded features using Cingular firmware. As I recall a good tutorial in that though it might not call for xs++. The drill is going to be similar though. Get files and feed them to tool. connect as instructed, and order it to go. This stuff can be a bit intimidating; you will spend a lot more time reading than doing it. If you wanted easy not-much-thinking approach, daVinci team can help you for a fee.

i finally got my phone to work again. i used se tools to reflash with the stock fw.
