Thanks for posting. Nokia E71 has more advantages than disadvantages. I like the qwerty keyboard, amazing design and long battery life.

Great built quality. I work outdoors in landscape all day, I have a leather Beyzacase and some plastic sticker protective layer made for hellicopter blades. I will normaly go though a phone per season but the E71 has really endured all the sand, dirt, and moisture I expose it to on a daily basis. I would take this over a BlackBerry any day.

The E71 and E72 are fantastic phones but unfortunately the keyboard is too small for people like me The tip of my thumb covers half the keyboard, I can't even input a phone number properly!

Performance wise it is quite zippy. It looks nice and sleek. Its also not very heavy but you know your holding something. It has fantastic volume and the sound quality is great. Even with the volume about halfway it quite loud. overall, it's nice, I like it.

I am extremely jealous that you were able to get one of these. I've been wanting to get my hands on one since pics leaked online. Glad to hear it's even better than the E61 that I loved.

I love my E71, using it on AT&T with all you can eat data @ $10. a month. I may, however, give it to my 19 yo daughter who wanted a BB but saw all the thing the E71 does. Upgraded software has made the camera better, easy to setup, mutiple Email addresses (on demand, I don't use PUSH), Conversations for threaded text messaging. I have had this for about 15 months & other than really wanting a bigger screen, I still really love the phone.
Very customizable, once you get used to Symbian, it's a breeze - and it still does everything i ask of it. My neighbor is envious (he has a BB on Big Red) & I'd love Nokia to come out with a bigger screen version with a qwerty board. I'm a big guy, but I am very used to the smallish keyboard. Give it a shot, it can be had for apprx $225. in the US.
    informed/intelligent comments are welcome.

    peace,
    ROK

You know, I had both - Nokia E71 (RIP - was drowned....) and Nokia E72. Both devices are really great! the main difference is that E72 has 5mp camera and optical navigation button. Oh, yes, bigger memory card and GPS. I loved my E71 and now love e72 even more Used E71 about a year - didn't have any issues or glitches. Great camera, great battery - in other words, these devices are very good, as all Nokia in fact

It seems incredible, it works well and most importantly, it has enough features to manage a variety of situations. I was disappointed with his camera, but I think it's one of the best Nokia phones e-mail to date, and highly recommend it if you are looking for a phone with a QWERTY keyboard.

sadiepaige01: Did you ever get one of these? Straight Talk now has it at $200. You then need to activate using one of their $45 per month cards that have unlimited everything!

Yup! the best there is, any Nokia E series 63,71,72,73 would put blackberry OS 5/OS 6 in total shame. It's sad to see that's so much hype, marketing, and cult crap out there make people afraid to speak the truth.
