k1 how to download mms to pc/screens blank how fix ?

Thanks for your help. I have a k1 (which I really like) however the screens aren't working but i can make and receive calls and texts.

Can you help me with 2 things:

1st Any software recommendations for downloading my mms to the pc? (until I fix my phone)

2nd eventually I want to restore screen functionality. I'm just a beginner. I took apart my phone and the flex cable seemed okay (to my untrained eye) I also noticed (a few days after putting it back together) that my phone will not charge (it'll start but then the green light will go off) when it's connected to the pc via usb. I read in another tread that this may signify software issues. However, I think the primary problem is a hardware one. As soon as I find my wall charger I'll test to see if it can charge period.

Anyone willing to walk me through fixing this?

You need Motorola Phone Tools to transfer images from your handset to PC. Secondly, if both LCD's are out, internal and external, that's definately a good sign there is a problem with the flex cable. The K1 LCD's, which are connected to the same module, they're not actually the same part, as they are on the RAZR.
