Unhappy SAMSUNG I910 (Omnia) Backlight problem...

The backlight on my new Omnia won't shut off. I just got it a couple days ago, even before I installed anything on it, it won't automatically shut off.

When I toggle w/ the power options, it's set to turn off the backlight after 30secs. Instead, the backlight will fade slightly, but not completely turn out. For now, I've just been pressing the power button to manually turn off the backlight.

Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
    THANKS!

Is your bluetooth or wifi connected with something during this?

No, wifi and blue tooth aren't enabled and it still won't shut off.

Ok, I'm apparently an idiot. Just and FYI, I figured out what the problem was the other day.

For those that have simple-minded tendencies, like myself, here is what to do:

    Settings>System tab> Power> Battery Power Tab>
"On Battery Power" there is a tab w/ an option for "Turn off Device".

I just had it set to only "Turn off Backlight", which apparently means only to DIM backlight. As much as I love my phone, why in the hell would you put the option for simply turning off the backlight under "Turn off Device"?! All along I thought my phone would physically shut off (how silly of me!), which is why I didn't check that option.
