Blackberry 9630 Tour pre-release thread (Formerly Known As The Niagara)
Too early for this? Anyone have any information when we might see this thing?
No one wants a Windows mobile phones anymore, the current curve and pearl are pretty ancient, and the storm is way too buggy. Which means people looking for a smartphone from Telus now are pretty much out of luck. I see this thing as the only next option (until the pre comes out).
C'mon Telus!
Blackberry Niagara
A CDMA variant of the Bold with updated looks to compliment the styling queues of the 8900 and Storm, the Niagara features all of the goodies one could hope for: full-QWERTY keypad, 480 x 360 display, EV-DO Rev. A, aGPS, WiFi and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Might also feature HSPA world-roaming.

i think you are wrong..
i wonder if RileyFreeman and bbg have read this yet?
I was the biggest WM supporter... I have a WM phone now. But I think everyone can agree that WM6.x is completely dead. After playing with an iphone, anrdroid, or a new BB, it simply seems archaic. The touch pro and touch diamond were pretty big disappointments. And I say that as someone who owned each for almost a month.
I wouldn't put the dagger in MS though... this is just like the IE/netscape battle... they will come back strong with WM7. They have to...
And the storm I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole at this moment. The owners keep claiming (read: "hoping") that firmware updates will fix all the bugs and make it faster... but there's no guarantee.
I really want to update my phone... I see all my friends walking around with iphones and fancy new blackberries... but sadly I don't see any options here at the moment...

i owned storm for a month and i own a ipod touch ...i think storm is very stable and it does not have any major problems, the only thing it is missing is kinetic scrolling.
windows mobile is still the best though.. i came back to p4000 after trying 8830, 8330 and storm.
i'm still waiting to make the cross over from a reg. pcs to a smartphone, but keep delaying it because there is always something "better" on the horizon! lol But this Niagara sounds good, especially if it has wifi.
Sprint's Q3 release has nothing to do with Telus. Telus always gets Blackberrys before the US carriers with the exception of the Storm. I predict March but thats only a guess. As for Win Mo and Blackberry, hey both are good but I can't live without blackberry messenger. Im sold to blackberry because of it.
