Safari? The Penguin pwns Steve Jobs. (Although flash frames aren't always positioned correctly on my Firefox running Jaunty powered laptop, at least the browser works!)
At least you can upgrade the OS on BB's, instead of buying a new phone just to get software upgrades...
(Gotta bash the makers of the closed-minded iPhone. )

Why isnt this thread stickied?
anyways i played with my friends bold today and actually typed on it for like 10 mins. the keyboard isnt as bad as i thought. i still prefer the feedback of the curve 8900 buttons where i feel a strong click. but the buttons are pretty good. i dont think ill be complaining about the tour's keyboard unless the buttons are really small.
actually ya, thats a lil misinformed. my 1st gen ipod will have 3.0 (maybe) just sucks i dont have speakers.
I thought I read somewhere that Apple introduced new features in the iPhone 3G S which the older models where capable of doing hardware wise, but they just didn't make it available?
I can't find that article anymore, I guess I was too tired when posting and forgot the link.

that was a bit of a cynical article. with all the wwdc stuff ive been reading at macrumors, BGR, phonedog.com, slashgear and engaget, im surprised i missed that. Either way, as someone with an older model i've been up that alley more than once before. BB's have the same problem computers have the same problem too.
newer features make older things obsolete. i don't know anybody with win95, do you?
i still will not be ever interested in a phone without a physical keyboard though.
in response to riley because im being too lazy to quote: I never thought of doing that. I have a friend with a bold who i was telling about the 9630 and even he liked it. He loves his bold but the smaller size for one would be way better. Too bad for Rogers though.
I definitely am excited to see how it looks. I may put my storm for sale to gain back the hardware keyboard on the Tour. I really hope this comes on June 22nd as Telus needs a powerful handset in their lineup that customers will buy. This will definitely help sales until HSPA comes. Don't forget, Telus has the highest percent of it's total users that use blackberry devices. When the free pearl promo came, people milked it.

lets start guessing the price. someone said it was at 549 in inventory at one point. the storm is 600$. the curve is 549$
something has got to give. either a storm price drop or a curve price drop. i dont see the storm dropping in price.
next it doesnt make sense that phone is the same price as the lesser curve.
so unless they do something they NEVER do unless its to get rid of stock. i see this coming out at 600 and not 549$. but im down for a price drop on the curve but i dont see it happening.
next the 3 year price, the curve is 100$ the storm is a ridiculous 250$. so this thing will either be 150$ or 200$. i say 200$

feel free to chime in
i hope the $549 is right, i dont know if i could wrap my head around the phone being 600.
if they did do a blowout on the curve they could actually get peoples attention for a minute. If they wanna keep pushing berrys then your looking at storm, tour, curve, flip and pearl and i cant remember off the top of my head how much they all are but putting the tour in the middle at 150 would be great!
p.s. does anyone know where this whole idea of the tour getting the touch screen come from? I thought that was the pluto or onyx or hopefully a scrapped idea.
I heard $549 but like you said, that doesn't seem right in comparisson. Plus the fact that it's a world phone. I'm thinking:
$599 MTM
$499 1 Year
$449 2 Year
$199 3 year
I really have no idea about the 1 & 2 year, but the 3 year and MTM prices make sense to me. I don't think Storm pricing is going to change. The 8330 might go down.
Ok.... Lots of excitement for the new phone, but let me make sure I've got this all right???
NO HSPA, NO WIFI, NO NA GSM bands and likely "locked" GPS! Really, for a work device why would I (Although I probably will) upgrade from a Curve or 8830? The OS on these two seems to be working fairly flawlessly and the GPS on my 8830 works great right out of the box! Seems like a lot of hype for???

Help me out people!

...you just said you probably will...
why do we need wifi in phones anyway? if you have an unlimited plan why would you need wifi? most times my phones connection to telus is more trust worthy than any random wifi connection and at home i would just use my comp. I just dont get that obsession!
and hspa will be awesome, but im totally ready to get an hspa phone. Early/mid next year but not at launch. I know the current network is everywhere and reliable for now.
denny i like your pricing. Im thinking about not getting the 3 year contract this time either...
I agree that wifi isn't really necessary with unlimited plans, but it's nice for travelling so you can avoid roaming costs. But it's not a huge concern of mine. As for pricing, I hope it's $149 on a 3 year, but I think that's wishful thinking. Hopefully we'll find out sooner than later.
