If you're offer is $150 then you'll pay $499 and you'll have to extend your contract 3 years from now. If you wait until you have a year left in your contract you should get full promotional pricing ($249 on a 3 year). How far are you in? You could try your luck with L&R.

im pretty sure i should be at a year left, if not maybe like one or 2 months till a year, how flexible are they when it comes to a year? Because if im not a year already for sure by sept. so should i wait?

Is it possible that on the 22nd Telus will officially announce that they're releasing the Tour on July 15?

    Ditto...
I travel and Wifi would be a definite asset... Maybe I can play on that and get some special US/international data rates?

I do like that it is HSPA/Edge compatible. At least it will work overseas (even though I doubt the prices would allow me to!).

Unless I can get something really special when it comes to pricing, I am still leaning towards an iPhone3Gs when my contract ends Aug 10.

there are roaming data add on packages. dont rememebr where on the site./ telus new site is a mess when searching for plans.

nevertheless it would still probably be cheaper toget a local sim wherever u are and use the local carrier
