carrier pricing is based on manufacturer pricing. so its both of their faults. rim lowers the price? telus lowers the price.

I wouldn't expect nothing less from Telus. By the time this phone rolls out, it's so close to the HSPA launch that I would rather would for HSPA phones. Paying close to 700 (including taxes) for a phone like the Tour is illogical period. Even the 1 and 2 yr contract prices are outlandish. I will never touch a 3 year contract again. The smart consumer will wait for HSPA phones.

Telus' phones suck big time right now. And they can't even price the Tour to be competitive. Meanwhile, outsourcing most of their call centres. Don't get me started....I see a white van.

I'm not a Telus customer, but I agree that these prices are ridiculous! Besides, this kind of pricing affects all customers, regardless of the carrier.

So count me in!

We should get this posted in the mainstream blogs and media outlets to get attention to the situation, maybe the prices would change before the launch. (Yeah, I know...

Showing some consumer solidarity with some *****in' 'shoppin courtesy of the lovely milfette.

I'm cool with the July 15th release, gives us time to change minds (ha!) and for me to better organize my upcoming large investment plan (re: phone purchase).

No, only overseas HSPA networks running on the 2100 band. The North American bands are either not included, or are disabled.

notice i didnt put a date? too much unknowns! at this point the price is insane.
