thanks
If you get one every year and want to stay on the blackberry platform then it's a good choice.
Yes a new network is coming but if you are doing enough minutes to justify yearly free phone renewals then you likely need reliability and good coverage which may take the new network some time to achieve.
I would get it now, by the time the new network is ready for mission critical users you will likely have another renewal offer.
For some people the phone isn't that important and they value other aspects of the service and device. I suspect a platinum perks user is going to need the reliability and stability that only time can provide on the new network.

We think everyone should be able to afford a wireless phone. That's why we were the first wireless company in North America to offer pay-by-the-second airtime, and why we don't charge an activation fee. NO scary contract to sign. Immediate national coverage. And a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Yes, it's finally time to get a wireless phone.

Corp store in Montreal did not get any Tours as of 6pm Tuesday. He knows they're online but doesn't see them arriving before Wednesday and doesn't know if they will sell them the day they get them.

For Montreal if they are able to order before 3 pm., they are at 99.9% sure of receiving it the next day, if it's later (4 pm) they might receive it the next day but it might go to the day after.
Best of luck to you all. Question: My dad pre-ordered a Tour. He may not have, though, he may have just got the Telus Rep to inform him when the Tour arrives.
I think they might've taken a pre-order (was Telus accepting pre-orders?) because my dad was out of his contract and was talking about switching until they threw him lots of sweet perks and deals. I think he's getting a free Tour out of the deal as well. He's been with them for 10+ years and has never updated his phone or anything.
Will he be getting a Tour delivered to him shortly or is he going to be waiting a while for his phone to come in? Thanks.
