How long does it usually take for reviews to start coming out? And what are the most trusted cell phone review sites?
My v325i has plowed through 2 batteries...this might be the replacement.
Well I do most of the Verizon reviews over at PhoneArena but other sites also have reviews, like Cnet and EngadgetMobile.
Once us testers get a device (which sometimes if a few days after the release), it's usually about a week (give or take) until the review is done and posted.
I'm working on the Samsung Trance right now, and hope the get the Alias 2 next.
As long as you can use everything in both portrait and landscape, I'll be happy.
It was rather annoying to have to switch to landscape for GIN, Mobile Web (until the firmware update), and listening to music. Especially when it didn't save where you were in the menu system...
As simple as it would seem to allow users to use all the features in both portraint/landscape... the piece that concerns me is that the keyboard appears to dynamically change pending on the application that is running, or the way the flip is opened. If this is the case, could we be running into the problem that the keyboard will show up but will be difficult to use in either portrait or landscape? Understand what I'm saying?
Does anyone have any idea or screenshots of what the threaded texting might look like on the Samsung Alias2? I've seen screenshots of it on the LG Versa, but this looks like it would appear different as its a Samsung and the OS is somewhat proprietary.
How is the support for Samsung phones with BITPIM? I have been a big LG fan because of the ease of loading ringtones.
The support for the Alias was good as far as I remember.
I always used the filesystem and did things manually, so I don't know how the ringtone feature of BitPim works, but putting ringtones on the original Alias through the filesystem worked perfectly for me.
Thanks for the reply. I was looking at getting the env3 but I think I will get this instead. The LG QWERTY phones are just too thick and texting with the Dare has never been an easy task for me.
