T-mobile is really making an effort to get people off these data plans. I received a Nokia 710 about two weeks ago and the screen is getting "air pockets" under it. No big deal. I called up customer service and asked about a possible exchange. They said sure, hold on. After going off and on hold for ten minutes I was told "We're out of the Nokia, we're replacing your phone with an Android phone." I told them "I don't want an Android phone. I want the Nokia." They told me "Nope, sorry and you really need to do the exchange now or you might get stuck." The girl was almost begging me to swap out my phone and I told them no.
If you go to the website, there's nothing that says "out of stock" for the Nokia anywhere. Do these people get commission for tricking you out of your data plan?
