Yes, there's a pretty neat app called GoVoice. I use it as my primary number.

I'm still stuck with my Nexus One with T-zones not working... I've been in contact with T-mobile via T-mobile support online (gave them my google voice number when i registered) to see what they had to say... basically they tell you the same crap, that they can upgrade me to a 'compatible' data plan, but they also hinted that they can see what they can do about the pricing, but only can talk specific prices once I give them my account information...
I left it at that for now, but I also read in another forum that the loyalty dept gave a user like a $15 monthly discount for 2years with a 2 year contract extension... so I was considering to open the conversation back up and only accept any changes only if it's a good deal... but your comment sort of scares me again that they will just automatically change it without my permission if they find out I do have an old data-plan...
but that sounds weird too because they clearly know and already have tagged the people that have t-zones... right?

ANybody else run into issues when contacting T-mobile?
No calls or contact with T-Mo Cust Svc if you want to keep t-zones with one of the newer phones. You can of course call them for other issues!

Yes. I had the HD7 before, but it wasn't to my liking. It was a first-gen Windows Phone with a small battery. The build quality was very plasticky and the camera/volume/power buttons were small and offered no feedback when pushed.

Yeah I noticed that IE does render kind of slowly...even my defy with 3G seemed to load websites faster. Other than the slow browsing, everything is a a lot quicker, smoother with windows phone though. My defy became really slow after awhile especially since it had moto blur. I noticed windows phone has similar features with motoblur with the facebook integration which is kind of nice.

Hope this WP phone will hold me over until the galaxy S3 reaches tmobile.
yeah i miss having flash. I actually prefer the Nokia Drive over the google maps/navigation. My google maps always froze on me before. Not sure how accurate nokia drive directs you though....but offline navigation is a major plus! I hope t-mobile doesn't block nokia's future tethering capabilities though. I have hope since they didn't block it on the Radar. Yeah...this nokia 710 will hold me over until the galaxy S3 or htc one S reaches t-mobile. Hopefully getting tethering will not be too much of a problem.

Is it worth waiting for t-mobile SGSIII since we don't have a proven way to use SGSII so far. The only thing i found in this forum that someone said works was removing the partitions and nobody else has confirmed yet. I am in the same boat guys, i have HD7 and not sure if i should get SGSII and use the that trick or wait for SGSIII and try using that trick.

people with a lumia - how did you get the microsim activated? can i just call t-mobile and ask them to activate it? will they ask what phone it's for, etc - i just don't want to mess with my tzones. TIA!

also, what about sim cutters - any good ones? would it be better to just cut my sim? my lumia came with a microsim but i would need an adapter to use it with the galaxy nexus.

As Kool Maverik and ucfGnome said "Rule #1 Never Call"

I would just have it cut its pretty standard procedure and yes it will work fine without an adapter in your Galaxy Nexus you just have to position it correctly. I have a micro sim in my Gnex now.

Actually, in this case, I did call. I just told them my old microsim broke and that this was a replacement, so that there would not be any discussion of new phone, which data plan, etc.etc. They didnt, but if they had asked me which phone I had that used a microsim, I was prepared to rattle off some fictitious phone model such as LG Zoom SGX!

You don't even have to mention that its a microSIM. Just say that you broke your sim and have a replacement you bought from Ebay.
I bought mine from Ebay pre-cut so it was originally a regular SIM. It came with the outer, (cut-off) part intact so that I could tape it back together and use it on another phone if needed.
