Anyone know the difference between the old $5.99 T-Zones plan and the $5 loyalty web other than price?

What I mean is $5 loyalty censored like $10 Web2Go (what APNs do you have access to with a unbranded smartphone)?

I'm assuming that the $5 loyalty web plan is just the $10 web2go plan at a lower price. So I'm assuming that it will be censored the same. I WOULD NOT encourage anybody to give the $5.99 T-zones to get the $5 plan to save 99 cents.

But if you don't have T-Zones, it would be a good option to try and get added to your account.

Read the thread I linked to. It will give you details on how to get connected to the retentions department. You should give the exact name of the plan as newguy78 listed it. If they haven't heard of it, ask to speak to a supervisor. These are new plan options so everyone might not yet be aware of them.

That is what I am thinking as well, I would rather have access to EPC APN on T-Zones than internet2 loyalty with $5 web2go. Thank you for your input

How is the web2go censored? Could someone describe in detail what is censored verses the other data plans

When using the epc.tmobile.com APN on web2go, you will get a message to upgrade your data plan when you use many T-Mobile branded smartphones.

If you use the same device on T-zones with epc.tmobile.com, the device usually works.

People trying to use smartphones on web2go can get around this by using internet2.voicestream.com APN. However some say that internet2 does not perform as well as epc.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it had something to do with content censorship

So there's no way to add T-zones onto the EM/EM+ plans? We recently switched over, but have been customers since Voicestream. Just wondering if anyone else was in the same situation and if they got TMO to add it.

There is no T-Zones at the <$5.99 price available to Em/EM+ users...these features from pre-project dark plans will not add in the system

However there is a $10 Web2Go phones 1st/shadow add on that would work with your current plan. its the same as T-zones, just you have to use internet2.voicestream.com on any unbranded handset.

Right, and recently T-Mobile is offering loyal customers that plan at $5 per line.

I wanted to thank you for the link explaining and notifying our group of the $5.00 loyalty Web2Go data plan. And the loyalty $20 android data plan. Following the suggestions in the link I was able to call Tmobile and get the both plans. Android data package for my son and Web2Go for my Nuron.

Just so everyone knows here. The official name Tmobile is using for the $5 Web2Go data plan is ( Preferred Phone First Web )

Take my advice. When calling, say, “cancel service” when the automated voice comes on. But when the CSR answers. Be as sweet as you can and say something like. “I hear there might be some data plans discounts that I MIGHT be eligible to receive” Be honest and explain that you heard of these plans and was hoping to save a few bucks.

It worked for me and the CSR woman was the friendliest CSR I have ever dealt with. At first she had never heard of the android only data plan. She put me on hold, ( I was truly expecting to get shot down ) then she came back and said sure I can set that up for you. (I was kind of shocked) While she was setting things up, she did make comment to her terminal making it difficult for her to force the plan through. She did figure it out though.

Now when she went to enter the $5 Web2Go data plan. She knew about the plan and everything went very smoothly.

    Thanks again

Wow, I just called tonite and was able to add $5 data plan on 2 lines. It worked on the first try. I basically told them that a friend of mine got it and said that they've been a customer for 5 yrs. I went on to tell them that I've been a customer since TMO was Voicestream.

At first, the rep was going to add the $10 web2go feature with one month free, but I told them that my friend got it added on for only $5. The rep looks in her computer and sees a $5 preferred data plan (sounded like she tried to sell me the $10 plan first). I asked her to add it, and she did. Also, I'm on the EM+ plan, as I'm sure a lot of people would want to know.

To the bb9700 owners using 3g w/ tzones:

Do you have any gripes/complaints about any apps/functions you would consider important that don't work w/o the bb plan?

Considering picking up the new 9700 in white if rumors are true and they release it may 5th.
    Currently have:

Nokia E71-2 for the 8th time
    Nokia N82

I also just got the 9700. I should be using epc.tmobile.com as the APN correct? Or is there another one that offers an advantage? I know not to use the internet2 one.

Are there any other settings I need to get this thing rolling? I just put epc.tmobile.com in but it doesnt seem to be able to acess the web yet.

    (I have the 5.99 tzones)
