I tried that as well, am home now, so its kind of hard to test since im connected to wifi.
But I added that APN, saved it, then went to the BB Browser, clicked on web2go link, went to the web2go page, i saw the facebook/cnn/etc. icon, clicked on one, but got the upsell message.

$5.99 T-Zones did NOT work today. Friendly rep allowed me to demo T-Mobile Galaxy S "viberant" in store today with my T-Zones SIM. Entered yahoo in search bar and instantly got "Subscription required." It appears a >$20 android branded plan is required![]()
It worked for me. I will try it again tomorrow. Was it a Galaxy S or Vibrant? The phone came with two back covers. One was blue and another was a purple color. My friends phone clearly said Galaxy S on the back cover and booted with a Galaxy S screen.
Really an odd, since this is being marketed as the Vibrant. I'm sure it's being blocked, but it DID work for me.
I bought the vibrant today and changed the APN settings. I ran a speed test and got 2.2mbps. Then all of a sudden, everything stopped working. I changed the settings back to the default epc settings and restarted the phone but it seems my net/maps/everything network related is dead regardless of the apn settings i have selected.
If you do anything where you're going through the BB servers, it won't work. No BB IM, BB email, BB browser, etc.
As bachviet said, if you use an alternative browser, it will work.
Furthermore, if your main goal is to use the iPhone, it will work providing you set the apn to internet2.voicestream.com
I have tried every apn setting to no avail. Anytime i open a site it says "subscription update required". Does anyone know a way around this or a alternate solution? Thanks
Like most T-Mobile branded Android phones such as the G1 and My Touch, they've locked them from using all other data plans except their Android plan. Chances are you're not going to find an alternate solution. If you've been a T-Mobile customer for awhile, you can probably get the $20 Preferred Android plan. Or send the device back and get a Nexus One which will use T-Zones.
to the guy who is using $10 web2go on the Vibrant.. its still working?
so it looks like the T-Zone won't work on Vibrant. I think i will pass the Vibrant. Does it give 3G or Edge connection on the Nexus One? Is there a new version of Nexus One coming out? I really wanna switch to android
Thanks
I would also like to know if Tzone is going to work with the vibrant. I lost my N1 and now asurion is trying to send me a Vibrant since they said the n1 is not in stock and it's been discontinued. Even though the specs are better than the N1, I wouldnt want it if it doesnt work with Tzone
Yes, you get full 3G service on the Nexus One. It also can take advantage of faster speeds if your city has been upgraded to HSPA+.
The Nexus is being discontinued as was announced today, so if you want to get one, you should before Google runs through their last shipment:

In addition, Nexus has already been upgraded to Android 2.2. There's no firm date on when the Vibrant will be upgraded.
