I'm consistently getting this page on T-Mobile HD2 now.... before, resetting my data connection worked.

on the upgrade page, there is no listed plans available for my phone

i get sent to the web2go upgrade required, in the URL it shows my phone number..... definitely line associated...

After I've switched from my N1 to my old Iphone 2G and it is still working fine for several days using epc. I am considering on getting unlocked Samsung Captivate
as it looks like they don't block AT&T phones.

I have an ATT unlocked BlackBerry 9700 and it was working fine at about 2 this morning, but 7:30 came along and nope I got the upgrade page. I'm using the $5.99 plan and I'm definitely not paying $20 data or whatever they're about to charge me. I may as well get a prepaid or something. I

2 different CSRs, including an escalation one told me that they are just disabling T-Zones. So that might include dumbphones too.

There have been zero reports of people with an actual dumbphone not being able to use T-zones. So the assumption that T-zones will be cut off is premature. I am still able to tether on T-zones using the SE TM-717 with no problem.

Switching settings doesnt seem to work on my wing either anymore...and the dash on our other line has gotten hit with messages as well, so it will probably stop pretty shortly as well...Interestingly enough the Shadow 2 on the 3rd line seems to be unaffected at this point. Which is odd, especially since the dash is as much of a smartphone than the shadow 2 is.

Despite comments posted here recently, the Dash and the Wing were always considered smartphones by T-Mobile and they encouraged getting the $20 Total Internet plan (though people did use those devices on T-zones successfully). The Shadow had it's own plan (cheaper than smartphone plan) even though it is, as you say technically a smartphone.

I would guess that they haven't gotten around to adding the IMEIs of iPhone 2Gs yet. Makes sense since they would want to first cut out the phones with AWS-band (like the N1), and recent model phones before eventually getting to older smartphones (like the iPhone 2G).

FWIW, everything down on my end now as well.

Would the $20 loyalty plan be available even if I have ~6 months left on my contract? I have the GF $30 National Business Plan and myFaves add-on and have more than enough minutes, so worst-case scenario I can tack on the $20 and ride it out until my contract expires before figuring out what to do.

N1 was working flawlessly before going to sleep at 2am, woke up at 8 and nothing will get it to connect.

My HD2 and a friend's stopped working this weekend. At first it was intermittent but now seems to be 100% redirecting me to WAP. The WAP stuff works fine, old school t-zones. This stinks. Not really looking forward to paying $20/month. Friend has said he's going to use WiFi instead.

My N1 Tzones stopped working today gets me to the upgrade page. It seems like all WM devices and Android devices cant use Tzones. While my brothers BB is working fine with Tzones and his google maps started to work again. I'm hoping maybe its a system upgrade or something since yesterday WM7 phones got annouced. I really would hate to switch. Does anyone know what is the loyaly data package for andoird devices? Is it 20?

As of this morning, I can no longer connect to the internet with $5.99 tzones on my HD2 regardless of APN.

Alas, the tzones era has ended
It was good while it lasted. I can't complain for getting unlimited data (especially 3g since March when I got the HD2) for paying next to nothing in light of what everyone else pays for data.

A friend of mine who has inside information says that when the new T-Mobile CEO, Philip Humm took over on July 1st, he was outraged that the old CEO, Robert Dotson, had permitted so many people to get unlimited smartphone data on dumbphone plans. So he immediately ordered the engineering teams to construct a permanent fix to this loophole. It has taken them 3 1/2 months but it looks like they have completed that.
