hi guys im trying to get a web2go compatible android phone for my mom, i have an international htc sensation on the tzones plan and it works fine. she is on the less compatible web2go plan so my choices are more limted... furthermore, she doesnt want anything larger than 4" (ie no HD2 or Sensation)

i think the international nexus s (i9023) or htc panache are my best bets going by the ho-fo tzones wiki... both are 4", decent specs for a mainstream user (she only needs it for calls, email, camera, skype... no gaming, etc) and im hoping it should be less than US $250

is the panache confirmed to work on US tzones? i am concerned about the lack of 900 band... also wheres the best place to get an i9023?

good news with all these new att phones working after some tweaks,

the only prob for myself and im sure others is the phone cost $450-500+ if i had to pay that much every year or 2 just to use my cheap data plan, i would just try and get an "unlimited" data plan at 20-30 and get subsidized phones for free/cheap every contract year.

now if these phones can be obtained for $250-300 that is more reasonable. Is there anything in this range that is decent? The last i saw was the panache.

yeah thats why i just decided to get the 20 unl data plan and upgrade every 2 years. Unless you plan on using the phone for more than 2 yrs, the price almost equals out at 2 years even with the 20 data plan unless you're on the 2.99 tzones.

i think some of us did submit rebates,
and didn't get their data plans changed.
    lucky flutters!
so people have had success with sending rebates without data plan changes? Do you have the links to the posts of those people?

    Thanks.

put our flame suits on, people will get us on this soon enough lol.

    on another note..

I just saw that the "SKYROCKET" is the samsung galaxy s ii. and I see you can get these used for $300-350. and with some tweeks and flashing it will work for the cheaper data plans.

that I can live with, the paying $500+ for I cant, I can offset the price of $300-350 by selling my hd2 which still has great resale value.

I am going to pull the trigger on this (Galaxy Nexus), but before I do, is there anybody in here that has this phone and is working on Tzones in Dallas area?
I have this issue where my nexus one works on Tzones in California, but does not in Dallas..! i was told that Tmobile has updated their servers in Dallas to not allow tzones access...

Is there anywhere that I could look to buy a grandfathered T-zones account? With my usage, I would save a lot of money.

you cant buy it from tmobile anymore... they dont even have it in the sales system... they can sell you web2go which is similar (works on many of the same phones as tzones but has some other restrictions) for $5 but you cant get a grandfathered account added. the only possible way would be to find someone who currently has the plan and wants to switch and ask them to add you to their contract and swap billing info...

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. I was thinking that I could find someone on Ebay, but nothing. I'd likely pay a pretty penny for this.

I don't have web2go or tzone I'm just using it to avoid throttle but probably no luck computer always wins.
