For any one that is still interested in getting an Incredible S, I'm selling one on ebay. I have used the device with Preferred Web2Go ($5) without a problem.
I do not see how they would offer you tzones or preferred web for your line that has the htc one s on it since its a tmobile smartphone and their policy has been that you need a smartphone data plan for it! Something doesn't add up
Well I guess I had a misinformed rep. I went ahead and added tzones to my HTC One S, and tried to connect to the internet, but couldn't get passed the screen that said my data plan wasn't compatible with my phone. Oh well. I went ahead and removed it. I guess the only cheap option now is the $10 200mb (.10/mb after) plan. Too bad, I really wanted a cheap unlimited even if it was just at 2G speeds.
Ekim, currently the best data plan for unl internet is $20 preferred Android plan. Call tmo loyalty for that. Tzones and web2go will not work with HTC one s us version.

Classic plan also have this promo benefit, but monthly will be slightly more, BUT YOU GET HUGE DISCOUNT on smartphone. Value plan customer needs to buy smartphone at "retail price". In my location, costco retail price on smartphone is cheaper than t-mobile retail store.
If you are contracted t-mobile customer, call t-mobile directly for the add-on promo. If you are interested in value plan, they will have to check if you qualify for value plan. For NEW or pre-paid t-mobile customer, I would recommend going personally to costco or tmobile retail store.
NOTES:
you do NOT need to get all 5 lines, but current promo gives you 3rd, 4th and 5th discount until Jan 2, 2014. Pricing will not change if you only get less line. After Jan 2nd, 2014, you will have to pay $5 extra for each 3rd, 4th and 5th.
The big advantage over prepaid are....
- Unlimited any T-Mobile® to T-Mobile calling
- Unlimited nights and weekends
- Better data coverage since data roaming is included for postpaid (Voice roaming is included with postpaid and prepaid)
The big advantage over post-paid are....
-It is much cheaper for single individual.
-you won't get hit with a unexpected bill.
ALL my local costco in Sillicon Valley, CA do offer the $0 add a line for value plan or $5 for classic plan I suspect most local costco offer value plan, just give them a call, and SPECIFICALLY ask for value plan. They just don't promote it as much.
Also "free new activation" for costco wireless and t-mobile retail store.
For Value Plan with 2 years contract, you can buy Samsung S3 at costco for $390.
For Classic Plan with 2 year contract, your smartphone will be SUBSIDIZED, ie less expensive, eg: samsung s3 should be around $275, maybe even less!

i know data is capped but i usually am close to 2GB usage per month.
at least this time i can use ANY phone i want without worrying if one will work or not.
Has anyone gotten any offers from retention for renewing their lines and getting the new Galazy S-III.
I spoke to them last week and again yesterday but retentions say it is backordered for them and they also don't have any pricing info yet for those they want to "save" (I have four lines that just went out of contract).
If you did call rententions and were offered an S-III, if you don't mind, how much did they offer it to you and did they ship it already?
Will installing the T-Mobile android app on a galaxy nexus that uses tzones raise any flags? I want easy access to my account but not if it will allow T-Mobile to identify my phone using tzones and cut me off. Please respond if you use this app with tzones and for how long you have used it.

I used the myaccount app with a international HTC S710e without any problems.
I just upgraded and am selling my old phone, a Nexus S I9023. It's the international version that works with t-zones. I have it listed on eBay for $220, but I'll sell it to anyone on the forum for $210 shipped. Let me know if you're interested.
This may be slightly OT but... I'm looking for a low price Android phone that'll work on t-zones AND work with squareup. Squareup accepts credit card payments and my daughter could really use it. They say they don't support custom roms but, since when are "support" and "work" the same thing? If someone KNOWS that it works, the HD2 might be perfect.
