A little more info would be a great help.
What parts does it get stuck at, what error messages do you get, have you ever tried syncing and if so, does that work?

Well, I have had it with the Storm. I can not even get it to complete a backup. It fails at different spots during the backup and has never completed even once. This thing is sooo buggy that I think it is going to have to go back to Verizon.
I have even tried it on three computers and still no go. I am afraid to do a firmware upgrade since I have no backup. Unless anyone has a quick fix, it is going back.

It stops at different places everytime. I do not sync as I have nothing to sync with. I only use it for mail and phone functions. I have not been able to get it to do a backup EVER. It just stops with an error and that is it. It gets to a different point at each attempt and just craps out.Originally Posted by Repsol
With all the other problems, this is the last straw. How can I do anything like updates with it if I can't even back it up so I don't lose all my contact info?
if you look at where it gives the error you can go into advanced backup and clear that specific database and then do a backup again. i think it means that something is corrupt in a specific database and can't back it up. i have had this happen with browser cache a few times.
I did that and it does not fix the problem. It did work for one (sounds), but it stops everytime now on autotext data version. Clearing that does nothing.
This thing sure is frustrating with all it's problems....
Clear the browsers cache and then backup. Don't know exactly why it works but it works.
I finally did get it to backup, but I had to clear almost all the databases to get it to work. Weird, eh?Originally Posted by ushneb
I also upgraded to .99 just now, so I will see if that fixes some of the problems with the Storm. Hopefully it will.
