Yeah it sounds like you probably have the phone on if it's going into USB Mode. You need to have a2uploader running on your computer. The phone must be off. Then when you hold down 2 and plug the phone in, you'll see the a2uploader start to activate and you can release the 2. Should take just a few seconds.

It's what I suspected, faulty cable. Grabbed a cable from the store today and I'm now up and running. Gonna report back when I'm done, thanks for the tips guys.

Scottish, you say to delete 2 .itm hook files. I see several .itm files with Hook in the file name. Are you saying to delete the Desktop_Hook_2.itm file? Or which one? If you clear that up, I will edit your HOWTO to state which files. Thanks

I have stickied this thread, but if you guys want to make a clean HOWTO (listing the filenames that need to be deleted etc etc) I will put that as the first post.

Thanks again for the help. I'm even using the menu.ml file for the Walkman player lol

    2 desktop hook .itm files
    1 CB .jpg file

if you like, you can load flash lite themes (2008 and later models)
.swf files are put onto /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
    .thm files are put onto
    either
    /user/themes
    or
/themes folder on M2 card (won't go away after factory reset)

just put my contents together, and make it Customize_upgrade.xml, then put it into
    /tpa/preset/custom
after a few minutes, you should have ALL T-Mobile settings (web, tethering, MMS, wireless village)
Finally got it figured out after I removed my head from my rectum. When you wrote to *not* turn the phone on and drop in new customize.html file, I thought you were referring to do this instead of SEUS.

Everything works great now and still have tethering capability.

Has anyone gotten Flash menus to work on the Cincinnati Bell firmware? I installed the W760 menu, which replaced the alarm icon with the Walkman icon, and also installed the Claro, Onto, and Yelo themes from the W760, along with the .swf files, but the phone won't change the menu layout. TIA!

Whatever it did worked on my tm506. I got flash menu's. Some don't work, but those that do work are cool looking.
Does anybody know how to get rid of the default top left, and top middle icon back to default? My Phone or something and CWB Internet?

you MUST put in .swf file AND associated themes
    .swf files go to /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
    .thm files go to /tpa/user/themes

That's what I did, but the flash menus still don't work.

This has got to be one of the hardest tutorials I have ever seen. The people have to go back in pages to actually figure out how to do this. It's to complicated for users.

Thanks for the info so far. But the tutorial is ****.
