Any interesting thin candybar phones coming soon?

I just lost my beloved Nokia 6300. It was the perfect size. I always wished the camera was better and maybe a couple other things but basically it was perfect for me.

I have a backup phone that I can use to tide me over for a little while in case there is anything new coming out that I might particularly like.

Can anyone tell me what Nokia has or might have in either the 6300 size or slimmer or else maybe a bit larger if it has great camera and other features for not much more money?

Basically, does Nokia have any exciting new candybar phones that aren't too big coming out any time soon? I like the 6500 Classic's aesthetics, but I feel like it's just a facelifted version of the phone I've had for 2 years and if was going to spend a couple hundred bucks then I'd at least like to have something more than different looks to show for it.

And since you like your 6300 so much:

Except your wait is going to be a tad bit long.

Holy crap that 6700 Classic is awesome. How can it be so cheap with GPS, Maps, 5MP cam, etc?

Since I can't stand my backup phone I'd just decided today that maybe I'll reach upward and get an N79 just because of its nice looks, the GPS+maps, and 5MP cam. However, it appears that this 6700 has all those things, at lower cost, and in a much smaller form factor!

What are the most significant things the N79 offers (for someone on T-Mobile in the US) that the 6700 would not?

I realize that it's S40, but I was just curious what the most significant features the N79 would provide (being an S60 phone) are. I ask in part because I'm impressed the S40 phone has GPS and Nokia Maps. Combine that with the sorta N-series/S60 grade camera and video, and I'm left wondering what exactly the N79 would have that this S40 phone will not.

Sorry if this is basic S40 vs S60 stuff. I would really like to know though.

One big thing between S40 and S60 is the ability to multi-task. Its really handy say when you are browsing the web, or are using the maps function and you get a text. With S40 you have to close the current program to read and respond to the text, then re-open the program you were using.

I'd say thats one of the biggest differences between S40 and S60

Actually looking closer, doesn't look like the 6700 has Carl Zeiss lenses, at least casing doesn't say so. N79 does.

Again it's apples to oranges. 6220 is S60, can't really compare.

Bottomline, there are things that S40 does better (simplicity, menu fluidness), and others S60 better (apps availability, multitasking).

So I guess being able to switch between tasks and maybe speed of interface would be the biggest functional differences? I'm not worried about the lack of Carl Zeiss lens as apparently the N79 only takes average 5MP phone pics anyway, so it's doubtful it would be very substantially better than the 6700.

Any of you used an N79? This seems like a tough call. N79 is more expensive and bulkier but available now. 6700 apparently is nearly the same functionality and much slimmer will steel construction that doesn't show wear as quickly, but would require continuing to use crap phone for couple more months until it comes out in May.

Anyone wanna offer their opinions on way to go?

I personally would wait. With MWC around the corner next week. Nokia's sure to announce a whole whack of new phones. Heck you might find something you'll like. Even if you have your heart set on a phone that's currently available, chances are prices may go down.
