Sorry but this Retention Option doesn't include unlimited Emails & BBM...Everything is deducted from your 50MB Bucket...

Also does unlimited emails mean that I can open any pictures or send pictures through email and it wouldn't count against my 50mb.

I confirmed with him like 3 times. In the beginning he said it was either 50mb or unlimited emails + IM and social networks. and that there was no such plan. but after some negotiating he finally gave me the 50mb with unlimited emails + IM without the unlimited social networks.

    $15.00/BlackBerry Retention Feature

...Here's the FINAL answer. This BlackBerry Retention cost 15.00$. You have access to 50MB of BlackBerry Internet Service.

So there's no unlimited of nothing...since the beginning. E-Mails, BBM, Web Browsing, Pin 2 Pin, all other stuff will be deduct from your bucket of 50MB.

Let's be clear, I'm just the messenger...so don't shoot me...If you don't beleive me, I simply recommand you to send an E-Mail to www.fido.ca or go to the Online Chat.

    Sorry for this FINAL answer.

    Thank's.

    Question:

Blackberry 8520, stock current OS. Stock theme.

    Messages inbox.

Sometimes when I get an email/sms it'll show the mail/sms icon on the main screen at the top. But when I go into either the messages, email, or SMS inbox icons to view them they don't show up in there.

If I go messages/options/view folder, and click on the inbox folder, it'll show them. But then the next time I get an email/sms, I'll sometimes have to do this again.

It's not 100% of the time. Which is what confuses me.

I've tried merging my SMS/email into the messages icon, tried them on their own, but it still does this.

Any suggestions on how to make my inbox folder be the default folder for the messages icon.

Now that the $15 retention add-on has been established to only include 50mb, does anyone out there have any real-world estimates on what you can do with 50mb on a BB? I know that bb "heavily compresses data", etc, but is 50mb any better than unlimited IM / email?

I apologize if I'm totally off here, but according to the Data Calculator that FSAgent linked, to burn 60mb in a MONTH, you'd need to send / receive 30 emails (text only), and send 400 instant messages EVERY DAY.

Are you saying that you send / receive 12 000 BBM messages every day?

Or is the calculator tool not very reliable?

In order to go through 65MB in ONE DAY, you have to do a lot of BBM every day and your 30 e-mails per DAY must contain contain attachments.

Even with my background applications running (stock quotes every 30 minutes or so, Google Voice background SMS operations, weather updates every 30 minutes or so, instant messaging with MSN & GoogleTalk, etc.) and using BBM and e-mails (I get/send about 20 a day without any attachments), I barely reach 2MB in the day.

When I use my streaming applications (internet radio, SlingPlayer, YouTube, etc.) and downloading applications from the Apps World over the carrier's 3G network, that is when my usage spikes up during the day.
