I see on the website that Fido now offers a $20 prepaid Blackberry option. If I want to sign up for a new line and use ONLY BBM, would it just cost me $20 per month or would I need to pay anything else? I'm not looking for any minutes or text, just BBM.

Fido told me it will be $30 a month because I need to have a prepaid plan of $10 per month plus the $20 Blackberry... Is that true?

I had a Blackberry for a little while last month on Fido and signed up for a @fido.blackberry.com e-mail address. I then switched back to iPhone for a bit. Now I'm not too familiar with Blackberry so I apologize for my newbie-ness lol. I got another Blackberry now and signed up on a prepaid account with Fido. Unfortunately I don't remember my password or how to set up the same e-mail address again on this Blackberry. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nevermind, I fixed it by just setting up a new e-mail account and using the same username.

is there a bb data plan cheaper than the ones listed on the fido website? (i.e. $25 for 500MB)
    http://www.fido.ca/web/content/inter..._email_options
the reason i ask is because some of my friends have a $10 flex data plan ($10 first 100MB and then variable pay after that) that isn't listed on the website. Unfortunately this plan is not compatible with BB network.
I didn't see this in the FAQ so i apologize if this is answered somewhere else.
The use case for data is
    - bbm
    - email
    - calendar
    - whatsapp
    - small amounts of web surfing (e.g. check restaurant review, look for phone number/address, google map, etc)

    thanks.

I managed to negotiate a $10 data credit, so I am getting 500MB for $15 I upgraded to 6GB for $20, but will be changing it soon, thought I was moving away so I'd have to tether - but I don't.

To those with the 6GB BB plan. Did you have 6GB plan beforeand ask them to switch to a 6GB plan or is it new?

I guess what i'm trying to find out is if the 6GB is available? My contract is up next month and would like to try out maybe an android or iPhone with a 6GB plan but yet still be able to go back to my BB if I have to. Currently I have a 500mb plan.

It's available through retentions. I'd just ask them to put you on the 6GB BB option (If the rep doesn't want to give you it, tell them you'll be using the BB you currently have and giving the Android/iPhone to a friend as a gift, so you still need the BB data option).
