TTM Wireless Ambassador 15: Unlimited Nationwide Calling & SMS-MMS + CID - VM25 - 2GB data = $15.00 + taxes
I bought an unlocked BB 8520
so i wanted to get the $15 voice + $15 BB add-on.
but the rep tells me that is not possible and I would need
to get the $25 add-on.
I did not see this on the web site. can someone confirm
if this is true?
thanks
I recently bought an unlocked bold (originally from Rogers) online. I added $20 voice and the $15 unlimited Email + IM. Not a single issue while activating it... In fact this rep (lucky?) was fully aware of how to activate unlocked bb. He even instruct me to register it on the fido.blackberry.com, just like Justin's sticky suggests.Originally Posted by frugalman

There are 2 versions of the 15$ BB data plan
1. Unlimited Email+IM available from any CSR (This one is advertised)
2. Unlimited Email+IM+50MB of BIS data for browsing + downloading from Retentions only and you have to fight hard to get it and pay a good amount on you voice plan to get it.
PS: There is also another Retention Data Plan at 15$ for I-Phone or Windows data that is 150MB for Email+IM+Browsing (AKA Non Blackberry Data)
Be nice when you call about it and you might get it.
I don't think you understood his question. He is talking about the rep not giving him the $15 plan. (Because it is not publicly available)Originally Posted by antiko

"That 24-month period gave the incumbents all the time in the world to create the Chatrs of the world, create the Koodos of the world", Mr. Lacavera said, referring to the discount brands launched by Rogers and Telus in response to the threat from the new entrants.

Browsing will work with Opera Mini on the 15$ Unlimited Email+IM but no BIS services. And confirmed that you dont get billed because in the system, web browsing is blocked so they can't charge it!
Few steps to do to get it going, I will not post it here...PM me if you want the details on how to do it!
great, thanks to you i be adding this to my lines..Originally Posted by Smoove-E
thats added extra ARPU for <just in case> usage; since presently none of these have any data plans..!!
Man...I work for TELUS lol
lol yeah i figured i was getting lied to.
The rep told me oh you want the 50mb, ok hold on i cant add that for u only our retention department can add that. then he puts me on hold and comes back and says im sorry but the rep just told we no longer offer this.
im just like why do i have to lie and threaten to cancel, just to get something other people get...
but yeah i didnt bother anymore. i think its cause my voice plan is cheap 17.50 no saf/911. but i have a lot of features and stuff i pay for which does add up,but i guess doesnt really mean much when the csr rep looks at it..

And if anyone needs a little help to get your bb browser working without bis send me a pm...
I want to buy a Bold 9700, but I'm not sure which carrier version is the best one to buy.. I'm iffy about Rogers because they're all Mexican made and a lot of people have had problems with them. I know Telus is all Canadian made and Bell is half-half. I've heard of people having problems with the Bell versions too. They don't get their e-mails and things so I was just wondering if I should get a specific one?
