I recently bought an 8890 on eBay. It was advertised as new, but now that I've received it I believe it is a refurbished phone. The chassis appears to be genuine but the housing is probably aftermarket. It's fairly good quality (I had to look really closely to tell), but the finish isn't as good as it should be (a couple of panels not entirely flush), and it feels like it's made of plastic rather than aluminum.

Anyway, the seller has offered me a refund. But before I send it back I thought I might see if I could source a genuine OEM housing. If I can find one at a reasonable price, I might keep it after all. So, do you have any suggestions?

I searched the forum archives, but many of the posts are very old and the links to suggested retailers are dead. Some have mentioned the ebay seller China Store. That seller has a housing for sale on ebay at the moment, and it does look very good in the pics. But I doubt it's really OEM, particularly since it comes from HK, knock-off capital. What I'm most concerned about is that the housing be metal rather than plastic.
