Yes, you may. As long as you have the iPod cable, that is.
Check the stickers, same volt output and polarity means an okay, i think it has a diff of 200ma but that wont matter. will work

Just to add to my comment above, I am using both a motorola wall "wart" and a motorola car charger that I had bought for for my first Verizon Razr. Works fine no smoke. BTW I am using it on a HTC Fuze.
You're right, seppie - 700mA wall charger, 500mA USB power. Most iPods have a 1A max rating on them, but maybe not the newer models. Look at the back of the ipod, under the model/serial and stuff. Motorola chargers usually go around 550mA and have a special circuitry inside them for Motorola phones, though are safe with non-Moto devices.
