thats whats i used for my instructions & things listed from others on here fro all the codes and such.
1.) why is my phone now listed as a 760i, instead of a 760a? Also is there any differnce between the two?
2.) After completion, when trying to configure media-net in step 1, i dont have a "data communication" option & when trying step 2, i am only able to PS or CS! ...not both.
3.) when configuring media net, i only had about 1/4 of the options to fiull in instead of the big list thats there... why is that?
PLEASE HELP ME... im a total n00b at this and either did something wrong, or im just not not doing something right.
There is no difference. They both are the same phone. Same hardware.
1) Just a = america, and i = international.
2) You technically CANNOT select BOTH PS and CS. Only one. PS is Packet Switched, and CS is Circuit Switched.
PS means many data packets are sent out.
CS means a connection is made and packets are sent out one by one.
PS is most preferred.
3) Some of the options are proxy settings. You need to go to the bottom and select proxy settings to get 1/4 of the options. Name to Header Comp. Should be available when you edit your profile. Then Proxy settings is where you find the proxy settings.
cool, i got it figured out. it didnt say you had to save it, then go back in and hit edit. thats why i was so confused. but it got everything entered correctly now.
so do i use PS only? or do i have to do them both?
also, is there any differnece in the software/firmware for the A/I versions?
I'm stuck on step 8 "Upload the xml file called customize_upgrade.xml to the directory on step 7"
I do not have an upload option, do I drag the file or copy and paste it in?
Please help
yep... just drag into the file directory & whenever you are done loading all the files you need and any other mods you want... hit the SHUTDOWN button there... and then disconnect and BRAVO! YOU'RE DONE!
