I'm tired of it freezing on daily basis.

Not too much of the freezing problem with mine (maybe done it 2 times since I've gotten it in October)... for me it is more of...

    *can't delete picture mail
*deletes locked text messages (when selecting delete all)
    *resets settings for inner/outer display
*sometimes outer display stays on even though it is set to turn off
    *resets settings on camera
*requires soft resets because it 'runs out of memory' trying to run apps
    *DC speaker is soft

I am sure I am missing other 'features' that need to be fixed

I am getting some of those problems with my v950 along with when opening the camera, I sometime get freezing and have to take the battery out to reset the phone and when I put the battery back in and turn the phone on, I get the color noise on the internal screen and I turn it off and back on and still get the color noise in there.
I got a replacement coming in tomorrow afternoon so hopefully that will solve the problem but otherwise the phone is been good to me overall all with watching NASCAR.

There is no firmware update... I been checking everyday since October and the most current software version is WATER2_00.59.01P

From reading around other forums that software version seems to be the same version that shipped when the phone first came out.

Overall I think it is a great phone.. but it does have its moments.

Anyone migrate from the v950 over to Boost to take advantage of the unlimited plan? Not to sure Qchat is ready for primetime yet, especially when it comes to talking to iden phones. I may move my # number over and pick up an i776 since I won't incure an ETF.

According to this thread, porting from Sprint CDMA to Boost iDEN is not supported.

Now that I dropped the DC feature, my biggest complaint (low volume on DC notifications) has been "fixed." It still seems odd that it has been what...6 months since this phone was released and there are definite issues with the device and yet no update yet?

    What is taking so long?

It can be done if you are persistent...the number needs to be "migrated" to Boost, not ported.

Well I hope migrating numbers from CDMA back to iDEN can be done. Who knows if one day I want to go back to iDEN they can keep all my numbers. My phone number is 11 years old at this point, and so is my DC number (Kept my DC number moving to qChat because I've had it for so long, plus it was from a private fleet I was on way back in the day before cross DC came out) Both numbers are native Nextel numbers

Also, I think it's been longer than 6 months since the phone came out. No idea what is taking so long. I remember getting software updates for my old ixxx phones almost on a consistent basis.

I have migrated from CDMA to iDEN (and back) with no problem.

You can even have an iDEN line and a CDMA line sharing minutes on the same calling plan.
