First, What the Frick is Smile shutter

Second - How does this new SMS thing work? I am sick of using SE sms, and miss my nokia already. I hate having to OPEN a message and go BACK just to read the next, why cant I just go left and right to skim through the messages?

Really? Just used the Australian SE update service on the net, and it tells me I lareeady have the latest. Yet I am still on R1BA042. CDF = APAC-ANZ 1216-0321.

Where did you access this update from?

Interesting. I purchased my phone from a seller from Sydney who had purchased many c905s from Hong Kong. About a week ago, I tried the OTA update and the dialog box indicated the handset had the latest software. I got around to installing the SE software later that day and the updater reported a new version of software with the words "HONG KONG" proceeding the update version. I have tried updating again since then with no luck, but guess what? I have smile shutter and the youtube app. I do not have SMS chat conversation, WayFinder 8 or the HP photo printing app. I think SmartContrast is also new, but I'm not certain.

My software shows this info: 1208-0531, R1DA032,090204

I was looking forward to all the features Sony announced but perhaps it's not to be. It seems there is no uniformity regarding software version info among geographic locations.
