Actually the 1RDA032 has all the features promised except for SMS chat conversation. Lame.

Yeah I did it last week but I had to change my CDA with A2 first.

As reported by others, I don't have threaded sms, but I do have the other new junk.

I installed this firmware first from DaVinci website because I know it works with SEUS.

I then run SEUS and it updated my phone to the lastest R1DA032.

I have all the new features. SMS chat conversation, You Tube app, way finder v8.1.13, HP snapfish.

Do you have a screenshot of the threaded SMS feature? It seems odd that SE would include this in one regional update but not all of them. I'm guessing they decided to wait for the next version of this handset.

Yeah there is an on going thing as to why some firmwares have it and others don't.
After having the O2 firmware installed i decided to try this one from wotanserver, and it also has the sms chat conversation.

    Some screen shots:
First you can choose Conversation as well as Inbox

Then It lists each person from your contacts list you are texting with:

    Then your text

And then the reply underneath. You just scroll up and down to read the messages.

    Personally I like it.

Excellent. So do I. I'm in the process of flashing to O2 now. Do you think I should use the SEUS updater afterward or wotanserver? Is there any difference?

    Cheers

Once you have flashed to O2 then start your phone and select the language and go to your main desktop page. Once this is done and the phone has finished installing it self then run it thought SEUS.

But now DaVinci has a few working firmwares too. The C905 R1DA032 CID52 CARPHONE WAREHOUSE UK /NIGHT BLACK WESTERN-EUROPE is a good unbranded one to use.

Thank you. I think something may be wrong with the Davinci site, b/c the client application fails to go past "loading scripts" (device identification) even after I installed the generic SE USB driver. Frustrating.

Not sure why, but you can delete the script files and try running it again. Goto the folder where you are running the client from. Go into the data folder and go into the script folder. Delete all the script files and re-try. The client will then download all the scripts again.

But I didn't think you needed drivers

what's the directory of the data and script folders? i'm saving the client app to /Documents and Settings/Desktop, but it doesnt seem to create any folders. also, i tried using my friend's Windows box but it wouldnt accept my login info. I was thinking maybe it is giving me trouble due me running XP on virtualization but everything else works. i cant even log into their sites using the credentials they emailed to me. the agent did say they were having problems but i'm not sure what.

    thanks
