wait, I don't know how to even use A2Uploader. Everytime I install it it never works and I have no idea what program it need's to run.

I found a simple instructions guide on it but no Idea what program it needs.

Hello wastedagen...I tried to be like you earlier, and it didnt work so well. I have a problem now. I wanted to try out a few other CDAs, so I started with Tmobile (UK) 1210-4888 and then attempted to go to O2 (UK), but it will not let me update through SEUS now. It's indicating that I am up-to-date. I even tried changing the CDA Region manually through the generator to Hong Kong, and I'm getting the same message. I also tried using other CDAs off the list but no luck. Same message. I don't really want to pay Davinci for more debranding firmware. Any suggestions?

It's the A2Uploader I cannot figure out. I downloaded the program and when I unpack it I get one of these when I try to open it(but with the A2Uploader, this is just a picture off the webs lol)



I assume I need something to open it, but what?

I've just re-downloaded it to see if the link is working and all seems well. Unpack the file using winRAR. No problems.

Your antivirus software may be assuming it's a malware or something. Try disabling it and re-downloading it.

Just tried it again, The Gordons Gate unpacked fine but the A2 didn't? It just keeps saying I don't have access to this program, but I even turned off my spyware/antivirus for it.

I'm a little stumped here. The single file ' a2uploader.rar' you download, when it is unpacked you get a folder with 2 files in it.



ggsetup installs drivers as you've done, but a2uploader.exe doesn't need any installation. It runs from the location you unpacked it. Are you running vista. Try right clicking and 'run as administrator'.

Other than that I don't see why it won't let you run it.

Windows XP and I tried the ADMIN already, no go.

I have no idea what it is, and I believe you on the file, I tried it with someone else's upload and still it would not go.

Maybe the file is corrupt or something other software application is preventing it from executing. Boot into safe mode by tapping F8 on startup and selecting "safe mode" and try running it from there. If that doesnt work, download again.

By the way, wasted, I decided to use the original O2 firmware you recommended for now. I had to pay again at Davanci since it's not available in the CDA database. I'm just going to stick with it, but I would like to modify those icons if it's possible.

I debanded my C905 using daVinci when I first got the phone cant remember which one I selected but just did the update on my phone not via pc. But only thing I see is extra is the smile thing no new sms layout.

My current Software version:

Can anyone tell me which country I selected? I think it was western Europe but not sure.

Also the ppl who does have the SMS style can you switch between the old and new style? Or is it conversation style forever? Or is the Inbox is there in the old style?

Also I am on a mac can I still not get SEUS?

Yes you have Western Europe. But that CDA you have, 1205-9079, does not have sms conversation style. Strange I know, but different firmware versions for different regions may or may not have it. Follow the steps on post #35(pg3) if you want to have it. But try to use a pc if Mac don't support SEUS.

And you can switch between sms conversation style and original at anytime without loosing any previous texts.

You need to install bootcamp or use either parallels or vm fusion virtualization software in order to run the SE updater app. The only other option if you cannot do this is to perform these operations on someone else's computer. I recommend the other option, because all apps relating to SE are written for Windows.

I noticed about the signal thing too I dont use to get get Edge anymore as I dnt like using 3G as it drains the battery life like no tomorrow.

I like the sms convo thing but the 2 things i dnt like is it slow in opening and after you send a text it does not go back to your main screen it stays on the text.

I changed the CDA/CDF to one that works with the SEUS giving you all the features. This is from another forum but since i'm not sure if I can link to it i'll post the tutorial here.

First you will need:
1. A2 Uploader
2. A2 Uploader CDA Generator (download at bottom of screen)
3. SEUS

Remove your sim card (if you have one)and memory card.
Okay, once you've got these three things you need to generate a CDA for your C905. You do this by going into the CDA file generator and selecting the C905, then typing in the CDA you want to use. You can find lots of CDAs in this thread that will work better. "Generic UK" (1214-7311) is probably your best bet at the moment. I didn't put anything in the REGION drop down box just the CDA I wanted to use. When you un-zip the downloaded folder there will be a list of different CDA's for you to try.

Then hit generate XML file.

So, once you've generated the file, it's going to be saved in the folder you have the CDA Generator program saved in. The file will be called "customized_upgrade.xml".

The next step is that you want to actually change the CDA on the phone. To do this, we need to open up A2 Uploader. Once open, click on FILE SYSTEM at the right side. The program will now ask you to connect your phone in the same way SEUS asks; turned off, hold down 'c' and insert the USB. The file system will now load up.

In the A2 Uploader window navigate to "tpa/preset/custom", and then drag and drop the "customized_upgrade.xml" file across to this window.


Once you see the file saved in this window, then you can go to SHUTDOWN FS MANAGER at the bottom in red. Then hit quit and you can then disconnect your phone.

Insert your sim turn the phone on, and wait for the "please wait" message to fire across. Once completed the CDA is now changed and you can disconnect the phone.

Now shut the phone down remove your sim card and connect to SEUS and update as normal. Note that beside C905 at the top it should say the new CDA. Do an update and you will have all the features/(lack of) branding that the firmware you have chosen has.

This isn't really too complicated, having done it a few times I can fire through the process in under 5 minutes. There isn't any risk to your phone either, as if it messes up, you can simply do it again.

I am using the 1214-7311 CDA and can confirm it has all the extras that should come with the update.

hi sorry i have followed your tutorial on how to get the sms chat style ect. But when i download the CDA generator it does not want to open :S so i do not know what to do, any ideas ? i just really want this sms chat style ect. Help please. Thanks in advance
