Lg Rumor UX260 Beeps every 2 minutes

HI - I posted this on the LG Site but didn't get any reaction so any ideas
on how I can figure something out on this would be great.

sounds like its an incall reminder or something. i forget exactly what its called but it peeps like every min so you can count the mins you are in a call. one of the most useless features with cell phones since they all have a call duration timer now.

check your in call settings if you have them.

Having had the UX260, that sounds more like a message waiting reminder (inbound text/mms). Do you have a new message in your inbox?

You can go into your settings to turn that off. I don't have my UX260 with me, so I don't recall how off the top of my head.

i mean he said when hes on a call it beeps, so i assumed it was the in call timer.

I don't have any new messages from texts or from calls.

I'll check the call timer.

I'm going in to:
1-Settings
3-Message Alerts
5-Message Reminder
was set at
2-every 2 minutes
I changed it to
3-Every 15 minutes

Now I have to call someone for more than 2 minutes
(calling phone company and get put on hold)

I'll see if this changes anything.

Well that didn't work
it beeped at 1 minute.
I thought that was going to work

I'll look for something else in settings.

hmm , thats odd . i too , thought it was going to be a "messege waiting" or per min beep in call .
be sure and update us , if it doesnt stop i would try taking it back if that is a option .

Try changing these settings:

9. settings
1. sound
5. service alerts
1. minute beep (if on, turn off)

Just a note to anyone trying to find the source of the minute beep on the Rumor Touch, it's under:

Main Menu -> Settings -> Ringers -> Call Alerts -> Beep Each Minute.

Please don't ask me why a in-call per minute beep is under Ringers.
