When I try to run a2uploader, windows says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." What should I do? P.S.: I am extremely sure that I am system administrator.

Forget It, I fixed it. Seems AVG thinks it is a trojan horse or something and blocks it.

Hola, I'm back. Phone's great, but we switched to a myfavs plan....
So, I'd like to take advantage of the updates (thanks, btw!).
But, I have no idea what to do with that code...
Add it all up?
in order?
All I want to add is myfavs, don't use the backup feature...
Also, If I went with all these settings, would the email client start using t-mobile's servers again and charge text msg's for push?
Can I just pull the customize.xml from my phone and insert the myfaves code?, if so where?

I use MyFaves with my TM-506, but I did not re-install the my faves settings. If you use it, the my faves interface prevents you from setting an individual text message alert for your my faves contacts. (You can still set alerts for non my-faves contacts. )

As I have a different alert set for the people who text me the most, that limitation did not work for me.

Cin Bell is short for Cincinnati Bell. A regional cellular company that also sells the TM-506 with a firmware that had more features than T-Mobile's did.

Flashing in this case is simply putting a different firmware on the phone or modifying the existing firmware, using a program like a2uploader.

Most people use the generic firmware instead of Cinn Bell now. See the wiki for the procedure:

After lurking on this issue for quite some time, I'm now ready to debrand my TM506, which from the looks of it, has been modified slightly (to include the 3g H icons). I'm leaning towards the wiki, but want to make sure that this is the latest tutorial needed.
