Is there a once & for all fix for "waiting for activation" for ATT sim card?

I have ATT sim card and a unlocked sidekick 3. I am tiered of having to press menu and L to get pass the "waiting for activation". Is there anyway to once and for all get rid of the "waiting for activation" with an ATT sim card?

No there isn't.

The way the Sidekicks are set up is to always search for a data network to "activate" them. Now technically they work on other networks, however, they basically rely on the backend service (the Sidekick internet) to function.

So, you will always have to bypass that screen since it will constantly be looking for that backend server. Even after you bypass it, the device is still searching for it.

Also a data block on the account won't matter. It won't find a data server on AT&T so there is no worry about data being transmitted.
