I'm looking to get an HTC Touch Pro for use on Cricket. What's the difference between a hard and a soft flash? Also, will Internet (WiFi, not Cricket's crap), GPS & MMS work with Cricket if I get a Touch Pro flashed for the Cricket network?
If not, what other compatible Windows Mobile phone works best with Cricket?
Awesome! Just what I was looking for man... I REALLY APPRECIATE IT! I just purchased teh Touch pro but I found out my job requires BlackBerry heh... Will make a nice gift for one of the family members though.
(I need to quit living inside of Gmail, these Comptia Certs are killing my brain).
i have the sprint htc pro flashed on cricket in cincinnati, oh and everything work fine. infact im typing this on my phone. and cricket internet service is great. you gotta look around on how to do it. but i do know everything work from pic message to voicemail.
My Touch Pro was flashed in Houston, TX and everything worked fine except MMS, (although the guys that did the flashing said MMS worked). Anyways I have MMS working now thru trial and error from what I learned on Howard Forums. Also with the issue of Cricket not being able to receive emails because of their port limiting limitations I have people send emails to me with my phones MMS address, that works just as well for me as the 3rd party email providers.
could some one plzz explain to me (in ez to understand language) how to set up internet on the touch pro wit cricket wireless service.........
The EZ way you just do it. The hard way you explain what you have going? Is it a stock carrier ROM or custom? Are all the EPST setting correct? Did you flash it or buy it flashed? Answer those and then I can tell you what you'll need to do to get WAP/MMS working.

Dial ##DEBUG#
Enter password (usually 6 zero's or 6 three's)
Click <Debug Info><HDR>
Scroll to bottom and check <AN/AAA authentication> It should say <1 = Authenticated>
If it's not Authenticated then you have the connection info wrong.. or try a newer PRL.
