Take a knife and pop around the edges of the screen. The face should pop off.

Now take the knife and scrap off all the foam on the grills. Then put the face of the phone back on.


Boom the phone is twice as loud as it was.

lolz... oorrrrr you could not potentially screw your phone up & just get teh accoustics mod like everyone else here does. It mkaes the music loud enough to hurt your ears! i dont need some ghetto-rig to make it louder, i just do it up right the first time!

even if the acoustics mod didn't exist i still wouldn't attempt the above speaker mod. its just not worth it.

now, if it meant making the camera a lot better or auto focus or something like that.. maybe

I don't have a USB cable to do that mod. Now I do have blue tooth.

Now this mod does not mess up the phone in anyway. It's very very easy. When I did it there happened to be a bunch of people in the room that thought the same way you two do. It's just a foam covering that's on the speakers. Now with also helps pick up the speaker phone also. You don't have to talk as loud after you do this little trick to the phone.

im not for certain, but i think you can use bluetooth with a2-uploader. Tho i could be completly wrong. but since you dont have a cable, it would be best to get one. Please visit the link below.

also, im not worried about talking loud to anyone, ive never had an issue of having to raise my voice. Also, that foam is placed there to protect the speakers and everything inside, because that screen is really open and will allow dust and pocket lint to entert the phone and collect on the speakers and potentially damage them. So in the short-run, you phone is louder, but in the long-run, it will end up costing you some audio quality.

Hey guys mind pointing me to this acoustics mod?

I searched the forums already and could not find it.

I just debranded my AT&T W760a to a Generic W760i to fix that annoying file size limit on ring tones. I cant belive they would do something so dumb...

Anyways like everything else so far except no more "my stuff" shortcut or menu item.

I had a W600i before and it was louder, and while I do not think the W760 has the speaker power to keep up I will try the acoustics mod to see what happens.
