    Have 2G question about No-Committment 3G

Questions for AT&T or Apple reps:

I've had a 2G since day 1 (June 29, 2007) on AT&T in USA. My two years is up June 29, 2009. When can I buy a 3G No-Committment IPhone, upgrade my plan to 3G and keep my contract renewal date June 29, 2009?

I've waited for 3G and want whatever is next. I'm thinking if the March 26 No-Commitment 3G lets me get a 3G and remain eligible for any upgrades I'm game. Realizing if Apple puts out a new Phone in June or July I will have bought an expensive 3G. If they wait until holiday season, then I'd be happy with my gamble.

    Thanks in advance.

No commitment means no commitment. You can get it whenever you want and it won't affect your contract or upgrade eligibility date.

Why not buy it with a contract and then pay the $200 ETF? Wouldn't it be cheaper that way?

    $199 iphone + $200 ETF = $399 for 8GB iPhone

    or

    $599 for no commitment iPhone
