Revol and Ntelos both have links to their subforums directly visible on the main page so people can easily see they exist and yet they have no visitors. Even the Virgin/Helio forum that is dead has a direct link on the main page. If the 7-Eleven Speakout product warrants its own forum well that says it all. Maybe some day Speakout will warrant the forum it already has.

The Boost cdma subforum is also not new as of 2 days ago. It existed for some time earlier and someone decided to kill it. They started offering cdma service a couple of years ago.

Boost CDMA and iDen are both part of the same company--Boost Mobile. They started offering iDen only service, and now offer CDMA as well.

The Boost CDMA section is new as of 2 days ago. Give it some time, and if there's enough traffic to justify its own forum, then someday it may happen.

The Boost cdma subforum should be linkable from outside the main forum just as Helio is linkable from outside the Virgin forum.

The product is being rolled out nationally and already the 'sub forum' has more traffic than the Iden forum.

Its a separate service with separate phones and a separate technology. It deserves to have a separate and visible link at least.

^^Its still the same service provider. I'll keep this in mind, and keep an eye on the issue--so far it hasn't seemed to be that much of a problem though.

Lightbulb A new Boost service product?

This was my brilliant idea that came to me in frustration. Durring the past week, I've tried everything except a collage course in communications, trying to acheive text msg service on an i920 on the Boost network...for your conideration...

I think we are finding now that the Boost CDMA subforum is much, much busier than the Boost iDEN forum. Sometimes the iDEN forum doesn't have a post in 2 days, and if there is one it is often a lost thread asking about CDMA issues with the Incognito or BB 8830 . The roles should probably be reversed, with the Boost CDMA forum being the base forum and the iDEN forum being the subforum. Or, both could be separate entities, deserving of it, given traffic. But, at the very least reversing the pecking order would likely stop most of the errant threads (sometimes 2 in one day) that show up in the iDEN forum for CDMA issues, which you then have to close down with the remark to post in the right section. If Boost CDMA is the base forum and Boost iDEN is the subforum the noob will have an easier time going to the right place immediately, and iDEN issues would still have a strong place and forum.
