Modeled after something my swim team used to do in high school, this thread will be for your complaints, praise, comments, etc related to the Boost forum. If there is a new rule you'd like to see added to the Boost forum rules, something you think should be added to the [url=http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1499041Boost Mobile FAQ[/url], etc, post your ideas here. I am starting this thread in hopes that it, and any resulting changes to the Boost forum, will benefit the Boost forum users.
Please keep in mind that not every suggestion/complaint/idea/etc can always be changed or implemented--just because you post something does not mean it will automatically change. Please also do not use this thread to bicker. If you disagree with an idea in a post, there is no need to say more than something along the lines of "I disagree because...."
If your post is going to be a complaint about a specific member, consider not posting it here and instead using the "report post" feature of the forums when said member is causing trouble--remember that this too does not guarantee that a post will be deleted, member banned, etc. I do not want to see posts like "[insert username here] is a dumb***, please ban them".
If this thread doesn't remain civil and productive, it will be closed.

^ This thread is about the Boost forum, not the Boost service.
IMO, Martin, there should really be a Boost Rants and Raves section. I know this argument has been had over and over again, but no one goes to the general Rants and Raves forum, buried as it is far down in the bowels of HoFo's basement. The Sprint forum has its own R&R forum, so there's no reason Boost shouldn't have one too. IMO.
Twitter: Captain2Phones Carriers Used: Sprint PCS, Nextel, T-Mobile, AT&T, Boost Mobile. Phone Manufacturers Used: Samsung, LG, Motorola, RIM, HTC, Sanyo, Danger, Palm, Apple.
I don't know what got into me I had to just let it out.
Just a reminder here, as someone has already chosen not to read the first post: If you don't have something constructive to add to this thread, don't bother posting. Its a simple concept....
And yes, as VCI pointed out, this thread isn't really to point out things you'd like or want Boost to do as a service provider, this is for the forum itself. What suggestions do you have for the forum, what changes would you like to see in the forum? Do you think it needs a new section for discussion of ______, do you think _____ needs to be added to the Boost FAQ, etc, etc, etc.
*stickied, so it stays at the top
How about one for wallpapers and ringtones like the one in the Nextel forums? I think that will help out a lot of the people that are having trouble making their own or don't have the software to do so. Just a thought.![]()
Always remember it's just my 2 cents *wink*
i also think their should be at least a trade if not a buy/sell/trade section. also, there should be a thread of all the cell phones that can be programmed to work with boost. perhaps when you click a phone you are interested in, all the threads about it will be there? just a suggestion

I like that idea, I could contribute some custom made stuff myself.Originally Posted by ArienBeauty

In response to the last 4 posts--HowardForums already has those sections, they're just not located under this section. The Nextel Buy/Sell/Trade, Software, and Rintones/Wallpapers sections contain the exact same info and posts as would be contained in a Boost section of the same.... The chances of those being "duplicated" here just for Boost users are slim to none, unless we can simply find a way to re-direct users from a thread/post here to those sections.
Any ideas on how we might do that? I'm pretty sure there are already re-directs in the Boost FAQ... I'll check now to make sure there's one redirecting to the Nextel B/S/T section though.
I think there is a way to shadow subforums, so if something is posted in one it mirrors both.
Its been awhile since I admin'ed a board.
I think with so many different subscribers on Boost IDEN and Boost CDMA, you should split this up. Have one for CDMA and one for IDEN. I mean, in the future, who knows what Sprint is going to do with IDEN and/or CDMA once they are done with the Virgin Acquisition. I think its better to leave the CDMA and the IDEN people separate. This is just my view.
As a person who really doesn't understand the CDMA/IDEN issue well, two separate forums would have caused me great confusion.
Well thats a good observation and I value your opinion. Unfortunately I have to respectfully disagree. I think the people on both Boost sides have different technologies, different phones, and different tweaking. Its like merging Nextel with Sprint.Originally Posted by tobikay

I'm an IDEN guy yet I know a lot about CDMA. Though I understand and enjoy the feedback I get from the CDMA subscribers, I would prefer to hear mostly about IDEN. If I wanted to hear about CDMA Boost, I would go to their specific section. Just like I go into the Alltel and Nextel forums all the time when I want to talk on that specific topic and technology.
So I think we just have a difference in opinion and thats ok. My point is I think the entire forum would benefit from a split Boost section. Your point though of wanting it together to understand the differences more is well taken though. I won't denounce it.
As some of you may have noticed, we now have a Boost CDMA subforum.Enjoy....
