The new monthly rates look fantastic. Maybe the paygo basic rates will be similar to Boost too. There are advantages to either Boost and VM. With Boost at this time you can use either iden or cdma, calls to/from Sprint PCS are mobile to mobile, $50 includes all available services t-t-w. Virgin Mobile's biggest advantage continues to be phone affordability, service options, and service plan flexibility. Since No New CDMA Phones Are Scheduled For Boost This Year, then VM has an advantage with better data and messaging service, while Boost provides its prepaid exclusive Nextel Direct Connect service. Having used the Boost KRZR and currently the VM Shuttle, the advantage goes to Virgin Mobile. While both are 3g evdo phones, the Shuttle costs less and with VM you can choose plans that fit your usage pattern vs only the $50 monthly plan for the Boost cdma service.
Anybody able to confirm this yet? I searched online a little bit to see if anything came up about it, but I couldn't find anything.
The Texter's Delight plan also sounds pretty awesome because I read a lot of comments from people that don't really use their phone to talk and would much rather pay to just get the unlimited text.
Wow. First Boost puts $50 Unlimited everything on IDen. Then Metro gives us the $50 Blackberry Unlimited plan. Then Tmobile fires off its unlimited $50 talk loyalty program. Page Plus comes out with its $40 1500min/1500 text monthly deal and now Virgin Mobile USA drops this bomb. It's a great time to be a phone customer. No contracts and lower prices. Please keep it up. I give it to Boost for starting this price war. We all win. I love it!
Now if only Att and Verizon would start to make some REAL moves...
(C'mon VZ, 3.99 a day for unlimited prepaid talk? Everyone else is going $50 a month and VZ lovers have to pay nearly $120??!! Wake up!)
