why not? what did boost say?

you should be able to get it. its available nationwide now just like the iden plan. just itsnot advertized. if you get an cdma boot phone activated. find one somewhere new such as off the inernet or somethin you should be able to get it done.

man.... i just turned away an HTC mogul which is what i REALLY wanted cause some moran on this forum said he activated a sprint branded phone on boost with the unlimited plan, but he had a few features that didnt work, and i asked him 3 times and he still refuses to answer back.... SO i passed up that HTC.... ARGH..!!!

Also I would like to say that when you call in to activate your Sprint phone that it really does no good to lie to them about it being a Boost c290 or Boost KRZR or the Boost Motorola W385. Because when you give them the ESN to activate it they can see what kind of phone it is. Because when I gave them the ESN they named the exact phone I had right away.
That is exactly right, once u give them the esn #, the make and model phone pop's up on the screen. When i gave him the krzr esn #, he said, oh yea the krzr, yea its clean, we can turn it on...

The customer representative I talked to said he can activate it but cant guarantee everything to work. That was fine with me. I also can say that eveything works on my phone also. Calls, text, Data and etc.
that is also correct when i 1st tried ask about the HTC mogul, he said he could activate it BUT they could not guarantee that everything would work and if something did not work, they dont have the tech support to help out cause its not a BOOST branded phone....

but you have yours on and running with NO issue's which is a VERY good sign cause i really want that mogul. So now im gonna hunt for another mogul and sell this KRZR when i get it...

    U R THE MAN..!!!!!

I called today after looking at the plans on the internet. The lady asked what area I was in and she told me the CDMA is not covered in my area and I would have to use the iden network phones (which my area has strong Sprint footprint). Also she told me the areas where I can use the CDMA phones and service. She was nice about it.

    With that said:
can I try to activate online?

Will a Sprint branded sanyo phone work?

Can I port my number? (the online activation would not let you port numbers)

Any other help would be appreciated! Thanks

U can TRY and activate on-line....

Technically speaking boost offers sprints network... plain and simple. So using a sprint branded phone SHOULD work 100 %. The only difference is, if something doesnt work right, they cant help you cause its not a "boost" branded phone which is what they have tech support for, not sprint phones. Again, there shouldnt be ANY problems with a sprint brand phone considering its back ON sprints network... ur just paying boost for their svc..

I ported my boost # over to sprint, had to find the right person in the right department to get that done and the port process literally only took 5 minutes.. I dont think on-line activations work for porting #'s over, thats only for NEW #'s..

but the reason behind that was because the original video was a total of about 13 and a half mins long.

that was to long to post up. it wouldnt even give me and error to load it just stopeed trying.

than i tried to split it up into to part at like 6 mins each but the video was still long. this time i got the error "file to large"

so i decided to cut each video in half again making a total of 4 videos and even at that the file was almost 2 large 2 load. and it took forever 2 load. im not sure if thats normal or not but it took like 6 hours 2 load each video clip. i had started at like 10pm the following night and barely got it to finish all them about time i made the post which was like a full day later. i let it upload the videos while i slept and throughout the day.

so lol yes thats the reason behind 4 "3 min clip" videos. lol it was a pain 2 do.

    but thanks again man.

Thats very strange. Each video has a 1gb limit (or 10 mins) unless you change your account type, then the time is like 1 hour...

So you uploaded 2gb worth of video? thats crappy quality for 2gb...

So it is still impossible to activate an Audiovox 8600 on VM or Boost using nam2? Even through Audiovox was also made for sprint. That would be neat to have Pageplus on Nam 1 and either boots/vm on Nam2.

im going to answer everyones post just give me a bit. . .and those who sent me a message hope you dont mind me quoteing them and answering them in here. . .reason is so everyone can read my answer for your ?z and can also know the answer in case they also might have the same ? in the future. . .

but right now i wanted to answer this post real quick. . .

i understand it has a limit of 10 mins or 1gb lol

the original was in .mov format and was 356mb

i got it to change to avi so i can split video in sections with windows movie maker making the now 13 min 356mb file only like 17.7mb

that didnt work. . .so the next split made it into 2 which would make it 1.38gb each video. . .(dont understand how that happen) but right there made it bigger than the 1gb limit.

so i spit it again into the 4 parts you see which made each video 732mb and under. . .

dont ask how all that happen. . .i have no clue. . .but it did lol. . .

and as for the quality yes it was dark and bad lighting in my room and i was standing over it lol. i was kinda in the light and i recorded it with my digital camera. you should of seen i almost recorded it with an old phone but the quality was even worse so i did it with the digital camera.

    and i have cable internet. . .

ill test internet speed a lil later. . .

skim through ur post real quick. . .and not sure if the boost phone idea will work. . .its possible and i see it likely. . .since idk if anyone actually activated new service starting up with boost i think everyone all previously had a boost phone on there account at one time. . .

i know my line had a w385 when i took it over from someone but the phone was real messed up. screen didnt work. called later asked to get my SPRINT krzr activated and they did it. than that phone battery acted up. wont hold a charge for nothing. so i called and got the mogul activated.

once again people sorry if i havnt got to your post yet. but i promise i will. ive just been busy.

replied to this one because it caught my eye (was last one in thread) and could reply real quick. short answer. 2 me anyways. other post require for me to put a lil more info in it lol. at least i think lol.

So i can't get an answer on this topic. Maybe someone on here will read this and be able to help me.

I have a Sprint Razr v3m & Sprint Palm Centro.

I would like to activate one of these on Boost CDMA. But i can't activate these online. The IMEI, which i have MEI Hex and MEI Dec, doesn't work.

So...does anyone have experience in putting their Sprint RAZR v3m or Sprint Palm Centro on Boost CDMA service. And have voice service. Text, web isn't really a necessity for me.

Again sorry to put it here but i'm just trying to find this out and PM's arent working i guess.

Thanks to Martin for keeping this post up (and i promise not to post this in every thread). Thanks to you for reading this. And if you have personal experience in this, PLEASE send me a PM telling me all the details.

    Thanks again, it's greatly appreciated.

Just Tested with activating a brand new sprint phone on boost over the web and nope didnt work got a different error but boost said they would activate my old w385 boost phone and then wait maybe 24 hours to move over a sprint esn to my account

Hey, heads up! An error has resulted that prevents a successful Activation of your Boost phone. Please call 1-877-TLK-MORE (1-877-855-6673) in order to activate your Boost phone

Its obvious that FEW people are having success with activating a sprint phone on boost. Regardless of which method they used or how many reps they spoke with, they got it done which is a GREAT sign..!!!! So for those of u that are trying to activate a sprint phone on boost, you NEED to contact these guys that have done it and find out HOW they did it....

The MANY times i called i had one rep say she COULD activate a sprint phone but could not guarantee that it would work 100 %... and if it didnt work 100 %, they would not be able to provide tech support simply cause its a sprint phone and NOT a boost phone... that made perfect sense to me...

The only downfall to what she told me was that the cdma phones are NOT eligable for that $50 unlimited plan, but if they do want the unlimited plan, they will offer it but for $70 per month... But its still cheaper than Sprints $99 plan... remember this was the one and ONLY rep that said this. All others said NO to a sprint phone and NO $50 unlimited plan on older cdma boost phones. Only for the iden800 phones. Its a matter of whom u get on that other line..... good luck

Right now i have a boost branded krzr phone heading my way, and i already checked the esn and its clear according to boost so it will NOT be an issue to activate. My only issue is porting from sprint to boost. I was successful last year to port from boost to sprint (although it took several calls and finding the right person that knew how to do it or to route me in the right direction to the dept that could do it), the point is... i DID port from boost to sprint and it only took 5 minutes to do so once i spoke to that RIGHT person in that RIGHT dept..!!

So once i get this sprint # ported over to boost (which ever way i can get it done) i will hunt down an HTC mogul and attempt to swap it out for the krzr.

If successful, you guys WILL know and i will tell u how i did it... TRUST ME..!!

Also did you have to pay anything when you got your mogul activated on Boost?

I really want to get my v3m or centro on boost.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Hello Aaron I promised that I would answer all pm's and post in here as soon as i got a chance. sorry to everyone I had been busy but I am holding my promise. . .

What I did to get it to work was call boost mobile and just asked them to activate it since my other phone was acting up. Both times I have activated a Sprint phone I got it done the first try. First time I got my SPRINT krzr activated because the w385 that was on the account was done for. The screen wouldnt work so i called them because I had to get my number changed and I just simply asked can you activate my krzr because this phone I have now not working anymore. I can no longer do text messages because the screen is white. They told me sure, asked for the ESN I gave it to them and than they gave my programing info and I got it program. Only thing that was wrong with the Sprint KRZR was the web wouldnt work I called in and they got it working.

Than I got my mogul activated the first time I called. I called to get my plan changed to the $50+tax nationwide unlimited plan and they asked if there anything else they could do for me. I asked them if they will activate my phone since the phone I currently have will die after 10 mins of phone call or texting from it having a full charge. It would only work if it was on the charger and even at that it would start to get hott and stop working. They told me sure and asked for the ESN I gave it to them and they said I see this is not a boost phone and this is the sprint mogul. I told them that was correct. Than I was explained they can activate it but cant guarantee everything to work. Like mentioned before in here that if i had any problems with something not working that they would not be able to help me out since they dont have the tech support for these phones.

We had got it programmed I asked for the rep to stay on the line while i test everything real quick b4 we hung up in case I wanted to reactivate the phone I just unactivated. He agreed, I tested everything. Calls, Text,Web. Everything worked right away. No data provisioning or anything.

Also to answer your question. . .No I did not have to pay anything to get it activated. They were more than willing. You just gotta be nice about it. Respectful and polite. If your a guy and the rep is a woman. Flirt with her or something. making her laugh works. They love respect and politeness because im sure many people that call in have a attitude so to have someone call that is nice even if they cannot help you is great. I know working for sprint when I had a angry customer I helped them. But really didnt want to when they were taking something out on me that I had no control of or did nothing to them. All i wanted to do was hurry up and try to help them and get them out the store. Because I couldnt stand the attitude that someone else did to them. Only so much an Indirect dealer could do to help you and they would be mad if I couldnt help.

Customers that were nice and polite even if I wasnt able to help them got more attention from me and I was more willing to help and try everything and more to help. Go above and beyond.

So my suggestion is politeness and respect. Also if you get the opposite sex try some type of what some would call flirting. Also if you do get a rep that having a bad day maybe because the customer before you gave them an attitude and hard time and you can change there mood with kindness they will luv u for it lol. Because if i had a bad customer and the next one was respectful or made me laugh or something like that it helped me get over what just happen of being mad. Made my day better, and once again made me wanna try more.

    I hope that helps. . .
